We stayed in this hotel for our first time in Gothenburg and it was amazing! Right next to a tram stop, corner shop next door with everything you could possibly need, clear instructions on how to enter the building/self check in.

I have never stayed anywhere with a shared bathroom before however this has changed my opinion! The toilets and showers were very clean and you never really had to wait your turn.

The bedding was comfortable and clean, you have to pay for the bed sheets if haven’t bought yourself however was not an issue for us. We emailed before hand and it was ready for us for when we arrived (we did have to make the beds ourselves however once again, wasn’t an issue for us)

You couldn’t hear any noise from outside or from any of the other rooms. I am overall very pleased with my stay, well worth the money!

We stayed in a private room, and the self check-in process when we arrived was very easy to follow. The whole place was very clean and the facilities were as expected, nice kitchen, a lounge and a nice little balacony to enjoy if the weather is nice. The hotel/hostel is right across from the beautiful Slottsskogen park and near to the Haga area, we really liked the location of the hostel.

I have stayed at this hotel/hostel numerous times now and would like to let everybody know it is the perfect location in Gothenburg. Henrik is the most charming manager and made me fresh coffee on my arrival, which after 20 hours on the night train, was amazing.
He gave me a wonderful fresh breakfast on my last day as it was over ordered. One of my favorite parks in the city is just across the road. They have a lovely restaurant/ bar the side of the lake which is very spiritual to say the least. I often go out to eat if i am lazy or I get fresh fish from down the road and cook my own. The kitchen is well equipped and nice to sit and eat there.
I will be returning before Christmas as it feels like my new home. Enjoy!!!

I stood in this hostel with my mom for a week on christmas celebrations in Sweden. It's such a nice, clean and a cozy place. I'm sure I will return there one more time. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and I loved the scandianvian style of them!

Overall great hostel to stay put for a night or so. Clean and well maintained. Good location. This is the first time I stayed in a hostel but it was quite ok except a snoring room mate :)

Comforter comes at extra cost and nothing was mentioned.

No front desk service after 6pm. I was lucky to enter before 6pm. If not the hotel would have sent a text with a code on my mobile number which was mentioned when I booked this hotel through hotels.com - unfortunately my registered number was not working in Sweden, so which means I would have never got the code which was required to enter the hotel. So be careful.

1. The Front desk is open only during the day, otherwise you are on your own, there is NO staff in residence after 7pm.

2. The bathroom/toilet is not in room, this could be very inconvenient.

3. Even though Sweden is an expensive country, but given the price I paid (125 US Dollar/night) the room was too simple, it has only a bed, a chair, a trash can, and two nightstands, and that was it.

4. Everything is built from cheap furnitures from IKEA.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything. I was able to take the tram and bus to most destinations just by crossing the street. And thoroughly enjoyed the long walks to most parts of the city through the major streets on both sides of the hotel. It is quite close to three major attractions - the Haga district, Skansen Kronen (ancient fortress) and Slottsskogen (sprawling park). The management (note: with highly professional staff) was most kind to assign my husband and I to a room with a balcony on the second floor and we enjoyed it over breakfast and late night snacks... As for aesthetics and cleanliness, the hotel is tops on both counts. The minimalist Scandinavian setup is awesome, though they can use new towels and upgrading of kitchen equipment (e.g., kettles). It will also help if they would notify the guests early enough in an email that they actually have nobody around on certain hours (e.g., 11am to 3pm) before check-in time. Apart from these inconveniences, we had a great time with them.

I have to say that I ain't really enjoy my stay there. The pillows, quilt, and mattresses are in bad conditions. Seems like they don't care what's under the linens. Bad smells in the dorm which I ain't really sure if they clean the room frequently. The staff are really friendly and nice, trying so hard to solve my problems, I appreciate that. However, it's weird that even I got a private room, I still need to use the shared bathroom, which makes no difference than staying in the dorm. Above all, if you don't mind the room condition, and shared everything, you can give a chance to stay. But if you do care, then I think it may not work for you. (The reason I still rate them as 3 stars are the staffs and the location. Otherwise it would be a 2 instead)

Stayed here whilst attending a conference at the Swedish conference centre.
First thing, you have to accept this is a budget hotel. The rooms are sparsely furnished (no storage) and there are shared toilets and showers but..
The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable
The triple glazed windows ensure that the room is quiet
There was never any wait for the showers or toilet.
The location is excellent, on the No 6 tram route. A few stops one way takes you to the conference centre and a few stop the other way to the city centre.
Buffet breakfast was good
In room wifi worked well and was free.
Staff were helpful.
if you don't want to pay city centre prices, this is a great alternative
Just remember that check in is only open from 3 to 7.

This is a great hostel. I'm staying in a six bed dorm room. It is spacious, each bed has 2 power sockets, a light and place to store belongings on bed.

The fully stocked kitchen has all new appliances and is very clean and spacious for multiple people to cook at once.

The showers are the biggest I have ever encountered in a hostel, good pressure, no broken nozzles. Definite win!

Reception is extremely helpful and always have a smile. I checked in late with no problem, everything here has been seamless!

Will definitely be recommending this place to friends traveling to Gothenburg!

Best way to get here from landvetter airport ?
Answer from Gustav S
Gothenburg, Sweden
Hi Emma! We recommend to go by the Airport bus to station Korsvägen (about 20 minutes) where you change to tram 6 (direction Länsmansgården via Sahlgrenska) to station Linnéplatsen just outside the hotel. From Korsvägen to Linnéplatsen is about 10 minutes with tram. Welcome!
