The Lodge is close to the Castle and has a sea view. Lodge style is pretty and give you access to the garden in a nice way. Breakfast is outdoor with an ok choice but cosy. Very friendly host. Our room was large with a nice bathroom and a kitchenette. We had everything we needed for our stay.

We had a room with 2 single beds, window facing to the parking lot. Bathroom was nice, but hot water took ages to flow. Breakfast was outside and it was nothing exceptional, but the view from the yard to the castle is 5 🌟

We stayed four nigts at this nice, small hotel with children. The rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was very good and tasty, local bread etc. Exellent service, I really can recommend! And the sauna...you cannot find any better place to watch The Olavinlinna Castle, than sitting on the outdoor pool, just perfect!

I have been a hotel recepcionist for a few years already, I came here after my summer job at a 5-star property in Marbella, I have worked in two other 5-star properties and several 4-star hotels across Europe and I can only say... This is where I want to work now. Amazing views to Saimaa lake and Olavinlinna, parking inside the property under payment, but really unneeded as there's plenty of space outside. Extremely committed staff. A very nice garden to enjoy, it would be better if they served breakfast outside also while the sun is shining, and not only in summer. What can I say about the room? More than enough space, a nice entrance hall with a sofa and kitchenette, a well-equipped bathroom with a spacious shower and a superb bedroom, with more natural light than you can imagine. Breakfast? Pretty good. It's not your usual continental buffet you get everywhere, but they don't want you to think it is so. It is a local sourced breakfast in a cozy living room in a building 20 metres away from the rooms. Anything bad? Well, the towels could have been a bit softer. And the Finnish standard but awkward for Mediterranean people of two duvets for a double bed. But we do excuse these two little things, we wouldn't but WILL come back. The staff must be proud of working here.…

We visited Lossiranta Lodge (room: Talonmies) and had a really nice two nights stay. Location is just breathtaking - you can see the Olavinlinna castle from your window. There are nice cafes close by (e.g. Cafe Saima) and of course the castle and Riihisaari museum. Breakfast was nice. They serve local food. Service was friendly. Recommended especially for couples and small families.

The location is great just opposite the Olavinlinna castle, the main sight in the region. It's a bit off from the city center which a good thing as the location is very peaceful (Savonlinna is a small town so you can walk almost anywhere anyway...). They even have a pier of their own so you can arrive with a small boat directly at the hotel if you like! Our room was in the old building and it was very homey and clean. It was like a room in your grandparents country house. Breakfast was nice, too. Selection wasn't especially wide but certainly enough to start the day. In summer you can eat it outside as well and enjoy the view... I didn't find anything to complain in this place. Sure, it wasn't a real hotel so services are limited and reception isn't open 24h. Some of the staff were clearly trainees, probably just started as the summer high season had began. But on the other hand it's a really cozy place with a unique setting.…

Stayed for two nights and enjoyed the experience. The lodge rooms are converted from other uses, I think ours was once a garage but you wouldn't know. The rooms aren't huge but the view across the river to the castle makes up for that. A simple breakfast is served in the garden. What stops it being excellent - the bathroom was very dark, you needed a degree in plumbing to figure out how the shower worked and being a green hotel the towels hadn't seen fabric conditioner and were really rough.

This is a beautiful location with a great view of the castle. We stayed in a very large and comfortable room in the main building. The other rooms are in a separate building, motel style, but all very quaint. Easy parking on the street and we were able to pay the staff to do a load of laundry for us. The breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful and friendly. From here you can take a scenic walk to the downtown in about 10-15 minutes.

We were extremely satisfied with the hotel. Actually, it looks more like home rather than a hotel. The view from our cosy room was exceptional, and we really enjoyed our night cup sitting outdoors. We even managed to see a fox, passing by. The breakfast, served in the main building ,was very tasty and had a personal touch. I do hope we ll return to Lossiranta soon!

I stayed at Lossiranta Lodge for two nights, last month. I arrived at the property, very tired, from 5 weeks of travelling. However, after seeing my lovely room and stepping outside to take in the magnificent view of the Castle, I thought "This is why I travel". Every aspect of my stay at Lossiranta were flawless. The Owner has put great thought into the amenities provided and she and her staff could not be more gracious or helpful. I was completely recharged after staying in that beautiful property. I cannot recommend it more highly.
