we spent 5 nights in this great hotel. We loved our room, the staff was extremely helpful and helped us with booking of different activities. The restaurant was great, even though the breakfast could be better.
Nice hotel i Ivalo. Basic breakfast. We stay here every time we visit Ivalo. Nice welcome in reception. Rooms was basic. Romm was on 1 floor, so not so much view. Room i higher floor will give view to river.
Best hotel ever the second time so modern yet feels like home. Own sauna and landscapes to river excellent location: Saariselkä and Inari just nearby and walking distance to mountains with breath-taking scenary.
The hotel is more a motel style ...reception service seems to be dependent on the person on duty... My room looked out on the river which was a breathtaking view...even though it's not as real pathway had a number of guests trudge past my window looking for access to the river. Room is clean and comfortable Small fridge ,kettle, cups ..tea n coffee...microwave would have come in handy..as in our experience the food at the restaurant was dreadful !..unrecognizable dishes sitting in the bain marie...I would not recommend wasting your money. The cafe attached to the supermarket in town is pretty good a shuttle service is offered to the airport..10 euros pp Club nord office situated in hotel which has great service and many tours.
Some rooms are newly renovated, others are not and (yet), but there is still everything you need, rooms are clean and spacious, a water heater in each room. Food is very good, great variety, the hotel offers free skiing gear, snow shoes and other stuff, which is great. Staff members are all very friendly and helpful.
Family room was spacious with sauna. The property is by the river and kids can enjoy snow sledging. Services could be improved a lot. The reception was not very friendly. Maybe it's to do with culture.
Liked this hotel for a two night stay in Ivalo. Rooms are good, great showers & comfy beds. Lounge area is cosy but service, especially when ordering a la carte is not the best. They have a great little room of kit ..criss country skis, sledges, ice skates that you can borrow to make the best of the local amenities (snow & more snow!) enjoyed the snowmobile option & their Santa was obviously the real one...but the ice fishing was an expensive mistake..🎅🏼⭐️
Overall it’s a nice hotel with cosy rooms and lounge but it’s the service and selection which lets it down. The food choices are very limited and restricted i.e. no lunch menu until 1pm and a very limited buffet. Servers are extremely flustered and stressed which they don’t hide. I would recommend more staff, better food selections and generally training around customer service. Also the Ice fishing at €55 is totally overpriced and not worth it. Otherwise it was a good stay.
I was surprised about happiness of the people here around in such a cold weather :) They are very friendly, smiling and helpful. A special thanks I would like to say for Lady at the reception, Rita! She helped me a lot with to find out and organize a contacts for my work! Very much appreciated!!! We have arrived late in the evening, she greets us very warm and friendly, explained about all hotel and town facilities what showed her professionalism and well knowing about what she do! I had a room on the 1st floor, big enough. The quality of the bed, pillows could be better, but in general the room is nice, simple, clean, made in natural manner of the furniture. In the room is a fridge, which works with a noise time too time:) enough big space to but your clothes. Breakfast isn’t with big choice, but you can find almost everything what you need for the morning food for European people, oat porridge, cold cuts, warm buffet, yoghurts, cottage cheese, fruits, vegetables, good assortment of bread!…
Read or google Lappland and the Samis and you will know this a very interesting and not just a little remote place to visit in Scandinavia. One is indeed fortunate to find a hotel of Ivalo's quality to use as a "base camp" to explore from.... good marks across the board and Aurora Borealis Season coming up.....
