It was confusing. I made a reservation via booking.com and when I arrived at the place there was no reception and no one to ask about your booking. It's a self-check in wherein you should be receiving some codes through your number or your e-mail address and you use those codes to get in the building and to your room. I haven't received any codes so I have to call booking.com and they connected me to a rep from foremon so I could get my code. It should all be fine but it's winter during those times, of course who would love to stand outside for a long period. The place is great and clean though.

Stumbled on this gem on my recent trip. Great value , close to the shops and metro for easy connections everywhere. Booked the twin rooms. It's got most of the amenities but missing an iron though, so you may need to bring one if booking a similar room.

Its bascially 10-15mins walk to everywhere.
7mins walk to nearest Kamppitori tram station.
7-10 mins walk to Ekberg Bakery
10mins walk to the outdoor flea market
15mins walk to Stockmann and about 7mins walk to Kampi shopping center with a huge supermarket.
and right behind the hotel is UFF, my favorite shop for clothes shopping with very reasonable price.

Only downstair is the hotel room is really small.

After finding the number for the combination lock to get into the hotel - concierge had just left to find some heat and daylight, we entered the spacious and welcoming ground floor reception area, with log fire, fully stock bar.
2 more combination locks to get into the room, we’re we found a tea-towel for a pillow, hand towel for blanket, and 6 foot container in the middle of the room for toilet and shower, perfectly adequate.
Unfortunately, the 2 foot 2” bed, did not allow much room for rotating during the night.
Breakfast was heavenly, with the rooftop view and heated pool.
Will worth a visit with the wife…..if your looking a divorce

The body wash dispenser was broken when we just checked in the room 704. We sent a message to online chat customer service and received ZERO response from them. We don’t think it is convenient to call them especially as tourists from other countries. The bed mattress was not clean enough. Much hair under the the bed mattress. There is some dust near the heater switches under the windows in the room. The price is quite fair to have this kind of service indeed.

It’s even better than we expected. Right in the city center, very clean and has microwave, kettle and coffee. The beds were very comfortable. I love that we could access it with the code. Easy check in and check out.

We were severely bitten by insects the night we stayed there, Oct 28-29. I assume those were fleas. We were hugely disappointed when we realised that because at first we liked it a lot as the room was nicely decorated and looked very neat.

As a cheap-ish room with a central location, this was an average hotel. However, it's a rubbish apartment. I usually do some cooking for myself and have people over when I book an aparthotel as they usually have tons of space and a small kitchen. This had a microwave and a chair. It didn't event have a sink to wash my bowls in!

Very clean for the price can't complain.
Great location lots of food places around.
Key code entry. Fridge, kettle facilities.
Can't say much about Finland quite boring.
But I'd stay here or in this type aparthotel again.

The plus sides of this aparthotel are: the location - within walking distance of Helsinki city centre; the size of the room was fine; the soundproofing was excellent - except for a noisy fridge IN my room; it was reaonably clean, but don't look under the furniture!!!
The downside is the complete anonymity. I was there for 5 days when it was apparently full, but I never saw anyone at Reception (even when they were supposed to be there), nor did I see other people in the corridors, lift etc. It was like stepping into a parallel universe! A great place for sociopaths! It is even worse at weekends as there is never anyone at Reception and the rather seedy-looking adjacent bar/café, which is supposed to supply breakfast at an extra charge, is closed too. I never took breakfast there so cannot comment, but it didn't look so inviting.
Possibly the most annoying thing was the constant need to use the code (to get in through the outside grille, the front door, onto the corridor and, of course, your room). The door was very difficult to open. The handle difficult to grip. Every evening I ended up with a throbbing hand cursing and swearing! An elderly person or someone with weak hands would never have opened the door...and, as there is no human presence, what would you do? I informed the robots by SMS but got no response!
To sum up, I would say: stay here if you are in a couple or with friends and want somewhere acceptable to sleep at a reasonable (by Helsinki standards) price. DON'T stay here if you are travelling alone (unless you really don't like people), if you are staying more than a few nights, of if you want somewhere to relax a little between trips out.
