We stayed here already a couple of years ago and found the place quite decent. Especially the possibility for small cooking in the room was nice. On this trip we decided to stay here again, but probably this won't happen again. Good: good breakfast (for my taste), central location, not very expensive. Bad: extra costs (parking, sauna, ...), less-than professional...

Very friendly and helpfull personell! Nice location and short distances in downtown. Bar (Piilobaari) downstears, and tables outside for drinks. Frontdesk is open untill 7pm, after that you can use your own key to get in. Good breakfast. Place for a car.

This hotel is really worn out and it feels like the owners disregard everything. Broken beds, lost keys, rotten toilet door frames. Even the toaster in the breakfast room was broken for days and no one bothered to go and buy a new one. The price should be half what they are asking for. A place to avoid.

Very quiet hotel and good value for money to stay one night. Room was clean and there was a kitchen in out room where to cook your own meals.Breakfast was cosy and good with homemade porridge at the pot.

Hotel Homeland was not even known by the taxi driver, in spite of the street address (and he finally turned off the meter before we found the entrance). There is no service staff after 5.00 pm, but by calling the phone number on the door one gets instructions as to which key box must be opoened to get the house...

As a Finn I am aware of the hotel prices in the bigger cities here, but this must have been the worst hotel I visited in Finland. The room was very worn out, especially the toilet that was smelly and damp. I didn't want to use the kitchen utilities since it said on the cupboard door that one must do...

Nice family type budget hotel/hostel close to city center, clean and homely, rooms are like single appartments, with cooking possibilities and fridgerator. Friendly service and good breakfast. If I go again to Tampere I will stay overnight again here! Br Lassiedog

Visited this hotel already for the third time. Key words price and location. Also kind of rough personality. A former student dormitory from the 50`s. Quite an authentic experience on a basic finnish studio apartment. :) Not a typical hotel, but server the purpose quite well. No elevator, but there is a ramp from the yard to the ground floor...

A very good place for a short stay, if one is looking for something practical and reasonably priced. Located on the same road as the National Romantic cathedral (walkable, 10 mins). Clean. Helpful to have kitchenette, with supermarket opposite (open until 6.00 pm Sundays). Free parking outside. Easy route by car from hotel out to the airport (20 mins).

The hotel was very cheap and I was a bit suspicious beforehand. However, the hotel was clean, the location was very convenient (close to railway station and Tammelan tori) and breakfast OK. The service was also friendly. The rooms have a kitchen and there's a small K-market right next to the hotel so it's also very easy to get your...
