Great place with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. There are no real facilities for children. There is however,a small pool for toddlers. This place is within easy reach of local shops restaurants and beaches
Local buses pass out front and are reasonably priced.
Definitely go again

wow what a little 3 star establishment but definitely worth 5 star review.
the layout of apartments around pool with towels provided for sun bed is ideal, and are well equipped, just ask if you require something
for B&B its ideally located within easy reach of town 8k away. just hop on a dolmus (local bus).
the cleanliness of apartments are thanks to a dedicated team, where else is bedding and towels changed every day. bar and restaurant keep you well fed and thirst free. local restaurants are also within easy reach.
mustafa ,(manager) and his staff run a very welcoming place to have a relaxing holiday which explains why it has a high occupancy return clientle.

The warm welcome and the well kept gardens were the start of a very relaxing few days, the breakfast is good and beautifully cooked if you ask for something not on offer in the buffet. Mustafa and his staff are eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Pool is kept clean and tidy. Shops and many restaurants near by.

Staff ŵere very friendly and efficient. But food was bland. Choice of starters were jacket potato with baked beans or something else or tomato soup ( 38 degrees centigrade!) Starter was declined. Main course was bland except beef which was OK. Yorkshire puds were rubbery. Desert was apple crumble and ice cream, crumble was good but apples were brown. First visit and not going back

We spent a week at The Citrus Tree Gardens. It is a modest, well run small collection of dormer bungalow units around a lovely pool. Whilst it does not offer luxury accomodation we found it perfectly met our requirements. We had a 2 bed unit, most have one bed room and a sofa bed down stairs, but we definitely benefited from the larger unit as we are 2 adults and 3 children. The Citrus Tree is well run and the staff were incredibly accomodating. Mustafa the owner is utterly charming. The breakfast offered was cereal, boiled eggs, toast and plenty of halloumi. The unit was well cared for with a small shower room and loo and kitchen area with fridge and two hot plates. whilst there is not a huge amount of kitchen equipment it suited our needs and things like a bottle opener, plates, bowls, cutlerya nd one frying pan and saucepan were provided as well as a water dispencer. In all we had a lovely holiday and the Citrus Tree provided a great base to see kyrenia and the fabulous sites of north cyprus. Will defintely be using again. Appreciated the lending library greatly and sports fans will like the unobtrusive billy's basement bar for the sky sports on offer. They make a great Gin Fizz too.

Our second time at Citrus Tree Gardens and again we had a really great time. All staff are friendly and efficient - nothing is too much to do for you, and with a smile on their faces. Our room was comfortable, serviced every day, kept spotlessly clean and linen changed every 2 to 3 days. The coldwater dispenser inhe rom was a godsend and very cheap. Air conditioning a great bonus too and no extra cost.
There are plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity although the food at the hotel is very good for those who do not want to move. Some reasonalbe beaches within walking distance, some excellent ones if you are willing to take the dolmus, or hire a car (we hired from the hotel with no effort at all).
For a relaxing, easy, pleasant holiday, with everything you need on site, I can highly recommend CTG.

My wife and I have a friend who lives in the Alsancak area of Northern Cyprus, so we chose this location as it is convenient to her house. As mentioned in other reviews, this is quite a distance from Kyrenia town, having been to the area before I was aware of this, so not a problem to us. However, I've noticed in many brochures that it is described as Kyrenia, but it most certainly isn't. It's a good 15/ 20 minutes drive from the centre, so bear this in mind. Having got that out of the way, we were collected from Larnaca airport and transported across the border without fuss, and returned again 7 days later all as part of the deal struck with Mustafa. He is a most obliging host, and his staff are without exception a friendly bunch.
Breakfasts are a bit basic, choice of eggs, with or without cheese and tomatoes, but bacon and sausages are available for a small extra charge. Our room was clean, spacious and adequate, although I have to agree with some previous contributors regarding the unpredictable shower. I think it works off a pump system, and it can switch from hot to cold and back again without warning. We got used to it and dodged the temperature swings, but I would be concerned if children were unsupervised, so I think it needs sorting.
Mustafa has a small fleet of cars available for hire on site, (might be a franchise he's got), and we took adavantage of this service and hired a Corsa with minimum fuss, and no hidden extras such as fuel etc., at a decent price.
So overall, very pleased with everything, location as I say wasn't a problem for us, but would highly recommend a car for some sight seeing and trips into Kyrenia. Failing that, the dolmus buses are constantly touting for passengers all along that road.
Plenty of small bars and restaurants in the area, many of which are run by ex-pats, and at the moment the exchange rate for Turkish lira is fantastic, so get there whilst the beers are about £1.40 for half a litre.

Bizarre place this... bit like Marmite (love it/hate it). No disrespect, but the people who love the place perhaps need to do a bit more travelling, stay in a few other resorts to see what you can get for your money. Our story is the same as others, arrived late at night, were shown over to the bungalows, spent 10 minutes arguing and saying we're not staying here (filthy/old furniture with graffiti scratched in them/dangerous stairs/A/C unit in a stupid place/shower ridiculous/place flooded when you used it, come on people this is 2012, NOT 1970 ! ), so as usual the management could not move us that late at night, so they switched off the lights in reception and went home, so had to stay. Contrary to others, I found the staff to be a bit blase and vague, except for the English girl on reception who was polite.
Anyway, after a ropy lukewarm breakfast, we called our travel agent and she managed to get us in a 5 Star Golf resort for the rest of the week for only £100 extra for the two of us !
The place was absolutely stunning, very quiet and a world apart from"citrus tree gardens"
My advice...look around before your book hotels year in year out, you might find that you find a 'NEW' favorite location for your holidays. " Stay away from this Hotel"

We found that where ever we ate there was always a vegetarian or fish choice. The Blue Door near the Citrus Tree Gardens did amazing fish kebabs. Lokmans is a fish and chip restaurant. Choose your restaurant and everywhere will have something that you want to eat. It really is good food.
