We are a small guesthouse in north Iceland, 24 km north from Akureyri with stunning view of Eyjafjordur. If you want to look at the midnight sun in the summer or the auroras in the winter - Arnarnes is a perfect location. We offer organic linin on all our beds, organic towles for guests, organic breakfast every morning and organic dinner in the evening. We also offer yoga and meditation for guests. Icelandic elves are all around us, if you fancy you can go visit them by yourself with a map or with a guide who can see and contact them. Arnarnes is a family own business and is a part of Resposible tourism. Free wifi - but we encourage everybody to enjoy the quiet Arnarnes has to offer. The bed in the twin room was very comfortable. The guesthouse was very clean and had a unique character. Lot of art pieces and paintings in the common and dining area. Kid friendly. Just a short drive from main akuyeri town. The host automatically upgraded us, without we requesting her, to a twin room from Caravan as it was cold outside. We felt it was very considerate of her. Caravans are well kept and can be good for couples or couples with a small child. There is also an outdoor hot tub which was not operational when we went due to some reason. It may be worthwhile to request the host to open it before your stay. The host had couple of grandsons who happened to visit them during school holidays. They were very friendly and played with my daughter who also happened to be around same age. So my daughter also enjoyed the stay here. Wish the breakfast had more choices with some hot options.…

We loved our visit to Arnarnes Paradis. Our hostess, Eyglo, shared her experiences of meeting the elves and hidden people of Iceland before taking us for a walk to see some of their special places. This was followed by a delicious organic lunch and the chance to see her beautifully decorated lodging in the chakra colors.

This is a fantastic place to stay! The meals were sooo good, the hot tub was amazing with views over the fjord, the rooms were perfect! The owners are so kind and couldn't so enough to make our stay memorable.

This is one of the most interesting places I have lodged. In a good way! Our host was very friendly and helpful. The common space is open and inviting but with private rooms on the side you have privacy as well. The bathrooms are shared but private and very cozy. Close to town but sits by itself on the county side. She has an awesome complimentary breakfast and a liquor fridge that is on the honor system, I found this exceptionally handy!
