We are a small guesthouse in north Iceland, 24 km north from Akureyri with stunning view of Eyjafjordur. If you want to look at the midnight sun in the summer or the auroras in the winter - Arnarnes is a perfect location. We offer organic linin on all our beds, organic towles for guests, organic breakfast every morning and organic dinner in the evening. We also offer yoga and meditation for guests. Icelandic elves are all around us, if you fancy you can go visit them by yourself with a map or with a guide who can see and contact them. Arnarnes is a family own business and is a part of Resposible tourism. Free wifi - but we encourage everybody to enjoy the quiet Arnarnes has to offer. This is a wonderful place to stay. It’s beautiful. The owner is very familiar with the area and gave us great ideas on what to do and see. We got a discount on the whale watching excursion because of her. She also teaches a yoga class and uses essential oils and natural products. Very clean and homey. Have stayed there twice in two years. Will stay there again!

This was a nice property at an absolutely gorgeous location. Had a homely feel to it. Was a great experience interacting with the other guests in the common area which was very well kept. There is a hot tub outside which we enjoyed on one of the days alongwith the beautiful views. The owner's grand daughter who mainly took care of the property was very nice and friendly. Overall, an amazing experience.

Its a nice cozy place, and you have the honor to be welcomed by elves 😁 We stayed there for a night. Everything was really nice. Clean bathrooms, shared area and our room. Comfortable beds, they provide towels and shower gel. Its the best place to see auroras, due to no lights from buildings around it.

It is a difficult review. The place was cheap for sure, but it did come at a price. It was in the middle of nowhere, which meant great views but you have to drive half an hour to Akyreyri.
Self check-in, we did not see any staff the whole time. Showers were kind of awful, there was coffee but despite the signs no kitchen so you could make your own breakfast. Pool table was worn to pieces.
I don't know, the place just felt cold and empty, even though all the decorations and furniture fit nicely together and it was artsy.
I'd go somewhere else, but as I said, it was cheap.
DO NOT go to the van though, the advertise it as some exotic experience, it is just bad.

It was a comfortable and fun place with pool table and hot tub. The host is friendly and helpful. Rooms and common areas are clean and tastefully decorated. The location is close to Akureyri and near the sea. We enjoyed our stay here and recommend to book!

Our stay here was lovely. The self-check-in was easy and the location is great. Clean and comfortable, but also extremely homey and welcoming place. It made even just crashing here for the night relaxing and pleasant. Highly recommend!

A very nice place to stay a couple of days. The rooms are cozy and the beds are very comfortable. It is very close to the sea and to the main attractions. The host is very welcoming and helpful. I revommand it to everybody who likes nature.

Such a wonderful experience staying with Eyglo at their farm N. of Akureyri. Our group of 13 was comfortable and we had wonderful food at their restaurant. They were more than hospitable. We look forward to going back. Bill Kniegge Blue Strada Tours

We really enjoyed our stay at Arnarnes Paradise, well equipped with everything u need, even a clotheshorse. Luckily saw northern lights around the house and through windows (the only one night we saw lights during the whole trip).
Hopefully will return someday.

Great place, nice and funny owner, was there to help us. Clean place and very well situated. I recommand this place at 100%. Nice place to make some activities and also bird watching in the area. Some nice hiking too
