This place is so beautiful. The views are incredible on all sides. Oli, Disa, and everyone who works at the inn is so helpful and friendly. I used the hot tub twice a day - if it is cold and rainy or snowing then the...More
Great rooms, shared facilities really aren’t an issue, never had to wait and are of a high quality.
The shared spaces are really nice and there are so many nice little touches with this place.
The breakfast is cracking and the view is spectacular!

this is one of the cozier accommodations I stayed while in Iceland. Although I discovered that there was no private toilet in the room only when I got there, but the shared toilet and bath on our side of the room was clean, spacious and...More

Thanks for asking, but I am not the innkeeper. My wife and I were simply guests at Skjaldarvik. We are familiar enough with Akureyri to say that if you are coming from Reykjavik, you will pass by Skjaldarvik before you reach Myvatn and Dettifoss. If you are arriving at the airport in Akureyri, it would be a little bit easier to go to Myvatn and Dettifoss first.
You are going to love it!
You can contact the innkeeper at skjaldarvik@skjaldarvik.is. Telephone is +354 552 5200.
