Very clean shared bathrooms. Also the living room was very relaxing and of course the outer hot pot with the astonishing view was something I won't forget. The breakfast was very rich, also with local products to try.

We plan on going to Lake Myvatn and Dettisfoss Waterfalls on Thursday. Is it faster to go straight to the Lake or come by you to drop off our luggage? What time is dinner served on Thursday. Also we would love to do a horse ride on Firday towards the late afternoon or evening. Our flight back is at 21:10. Please let us now what is possible in terms of these requests. We are very excited about staying with you.

Thanks for asking, but I am not the innkeeper. My wife and I were simply guests at Skjaldarvik. We are familiar enough with Akureyri to say that if you are coming from Reykjavik, you will pass by Skjaldarvik before you reach Myvatn and Dettifoss. If you are arriving at the airport in Akureyri, it would be a little bit easier to go to Myvatn and Dettifoss first.
You are going to love it!
