This was not expensive, so all we were looking for was a decently clean place to sleep. We could only sleep a few hours over two nights. Nights at Harbourview were non stop noise. Both nights a person would be talking loudly on the phone in the hallway, the room above would be dancing(?), the neighboring room taking loud, weird...

Bus station 2 minute walk away. Good base if your hiring a car as there is parking. 6 rooms, all basic with TV and kettle but there is a communal kitchen, 2 toilets, 2 showers and laundry room. Very warm and cosy and quiet. Recommend supermarket which is 15 mins walk away (2 mins by car) as eating out is...

My girlfriend and I stayed here when visiting Iceland as we had trouble finding anywhere in Reykjavik. The room was nice enough, with a small communal kitchen upstairs to use for small breakfast + dinners. Shower stalls were a bit tight, but no tighter than others we've encountered throughout Europe. The trip advisor site says they do breakfast in the...

Fantastic guest house. We had the family room which was huge ,there is also a shared kitchen with plenty of facilities. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers all individually locked which is plenty for only 6 rooms. Plenty of parking and easy to find from the airport. Good communication from the owners, via email for us as we were...

Unfortunately the security here is very poor. While we were out for the day, someone with access to our room stole my girlfriend's jewelry she had left packed in her suitcase next to the bed. Our mistake perhaps, but the fact remains that someone was able to access our locked room and rob us. The owners were very apologetic and...

We struggled to find a rental/villa near Reykjavik that would handle our group of 10 family members. This turned out to be just what we needed based on price and location. In hindsight, traveling around Reykjavik was tight and crowded - glad we ended up here. We rented the entire Guesthouse, so as to have both floors to ourselves. 1st...

The term guesthouse here is a little bit deceiving. It is more like a hostel - but it was clean, in a good location, and the price was good. There is a coffee shop across the street, the harbour is close, and there is a supermarket a few blocks away.

The hostel is located in a nice place, next to the harbour. However we had à room at the second Floor in front of the kitchen and consequently, we heard everyone having meals no matter what timw it was (6am or midnight....). Not much attention as well, but one of the cheapest we found in Reykjavif area.

Hi Sorry but this is not a guest house but more like a long term hostel - all other residents were men. Quite a noisy place to stay even if they were friendly. Totally inappropriate for children. I would not recommend to others

Stayed here for a week and loved the place. Very basic, but everything you need, and we didn't miss anything during our stay. Check in/out was no trouble at all, and during our one week stay we could choose wether or not we wanted to interact with the other tourists arriving and leaving the guesthouse. The only drawback was that...
