Again I organised a trip to Iceland for 12 photographers and we stayed 3 nights here. Everyone enjoyed their stay here, it was warm, comfortable and clean - and we had a great view of the Northern Lights! Only downside was the small kitchen - when a few people were cooking, it got quite cramped.

This was our first hostel in Iceland and we loved it. Room 4 had a great view, we had fine company, the weather came and went as it does, the locality is just wonderful with easy access to glaciers and the coast. The rooms are functional, the showers were warm. Could have done with some extra cooking facilities when it...

i stayed at the hostel because it was the cheapest accommodations i could find in the area which would also let me cook dinner. the hostel is quite expensive, though, for what it is. i believe we paid $85 for a private room with linens (linens are extra). There are only two bathrooms in the hostel which doesn't really seem...

Our objective was to get a place nearer to Jokursalon glacier so that we could drive there faster to shoot for aurora. The nearest hali area was all booked out, our alternative choice will be this hostel. We booked a private room. For the price i paid, i think jorkusalon is the second expensive place in iceland, for Reykjavik being...

We stayed there for a night. The staff was really nice and we had a warm welcoming. The surrounding is also quite nice. However, it's overpriced but we didn't have a big choice close to jokulsarlon , the room was really small which is not a problem at all but really cold . We had to pay so fees to...

Beautiful place and scenery--that in itself is worth the stay. Rooms were kept warm, and were quite clean and comfortable. There was also a nice, big kitchen with plenty of room in the fridge and for cooking. Good location, between Skaftafell National Park and Höfn. Good for small groups or people traveling solo. The only minus: hard to get warm...

We were received by a girl who started asking us to take of our shoes, Taking of your shoes is quite normal in Iceland upon entering a house, but I had told her, standing in the doorway, that we had made a reservation for a cottage, so we only had to get the keys and were to leave the main...

We were a group of 10 (3 families) and this hostel was perfect for us. 2 families had rooms in cottages, one family in the main building. The place is really well equipped, clean and comfortable. The kitchen could do with another cooktop for busy evenings, but everyone managed. Great location, fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

This hostel was in a beautifully scenic location with a friendly host.  It's proximity to Jokellsarlin made it the perfect stopping point for us. The kitchen was well stocked for food prep and serving, and we enjoyed eating in the solarium style dining area with its great views.  We spent one night in the 6 person cabin, which was a...

The hostel is some 30 kms from the glaciers and is probably the best cheaper location you can find around, as all other hotels are quite expensive. There is no shop for 50 kms around, so if you want to stay a few days, bring your own food as they do not serve anything. It is a well kept hostel...
