The rooms are big, confortable and clean. Great bread and fruit jams at breakfast. We also had dinner and the food was quite good. The landscape is quiet and nice. Perfect to rest after days of walking around.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, extra pillows in the closet. Our hostess was very welcoming when we arrived. While we didn't have time (or energy after staying up late two nights in a row to see the Aurora) to partake in the hot tub, it was definitely something we would have done. Breakfast is a nice European continental buffet with... More

This hotel is very nice. It is located in the country with a view over the valley. As we were on a bus trip, we had the group menu, that was ordered in good advance. We had the Icelandic traditional Meat soup (kjotsupa) and it tasted well. The rooms are in small houses, each with 6 or 8 rooms. They... More

Only one night at this hotel and it was wonderful. We stayed in one of the individual cabins just behind the main reception building. It was quiet - unfortunately, wifi is very weak. Clean room, great breakfast and helpful staff. An easy drive to Husavik to access local amenities.

One of our favorite hotels during our 2 week vacation. Very charming, clean hotel. Nice staff. We stayed in one of the cabins. We had a beautiful view of the meadows. Nice breakfast. It is close to Husavik so we had dinner in Husavik. highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night here. The room was away from the reception building in a new outbuilding purpose built for tourists. The bedroom was large and well laid out, good facilities and a great view. The main building offered both breakfast and dinner. We didn't have dinner, but we would suggest that visitors to this hotel either eat... More

I went on a short birding trip based at this wonderful hotel in northern Iceland, and had a glorious time! The hotel is indeed in the middle of nowhere (on road 85 somewhat near Husavik), but the amenities, and especially the restaurant, are very up-town. My room was comfortable and quiet, and had a gorgeous view out over the valley... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel and Guesthouse Raudaskrida as we made our way around Iceland. It was easily our favorite stay of our two week trip. The accommodation at Raudaskrida is very nicely done. Our room was large, bright, comfortable, and attractively decorated. There was plenty of space for 2 weeks worth of luggage. In addition to a... We stayed one night in one of the rooms. The family that owns the guesthouse is extremely kind. We were the only ones staying who were having breakfast and they put out the entire buffet just for us! It was amazing. The rooms are cozy, the bathroom was spacious. They're an eco-friendly accommodation. Love that! The grounds are lovely to... More

I stayed in one of the cottages in August for one night. It was lovely and quaint and had everything that we needed. There was even a tv! The kitchen was functional with the basic equipment with a dining/kitchen area. The bathroom was clean. Lovely scenery.
