Spent our last two nights in Iceland here and we loved it. Got to see a great Northern lights show, nice accommodations with breakfast. Hosts were friendly and very helpful for anything we needed. And close to everything in Keflavik. Smaller and quieter than Reykajvik. So

I stayed overnight here before an early flight out of Keflavik. Everything was exactly as advertised. It's not a big hotel and service was very personal. I supported a local business and enjoyed an excellent stay; it was a win-win! There's coffee and similar hot drinks available

We stayed here to be close to the airport and we found it to be comfortable for just a quick night's sleep - very basic, but clean. The location for the airport is fantastic - it took us less than 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to the airport.

Small hotel with the hardest working manager I’ve ever seen. Day or night he was there to answer questions, help you order pizza or give directions. Also found it was a great location to see the northern lights. Enjoyed our stay very much.

It is with much disappointment I am forced to write this review. First I would like to say that the hotel was very clean, breakfast was more than adequate and the location was perfect. That being said, I need to also say that we were overcharged and incorrectly billed. I

Yes, we did stay for three days/two nights. The Hotel Manager set up a rental car for us for one day and it was an easy drive around the area.

Thier is a path you can walk around the water at with benches to enjoy the view. It is a crisp cold but the walk keeps you warm. A 10/11 grocery market it just north of the of the hotel were you can buy food if you want to save on the eating out cost. A small fridge is in the room...

Thanks Julucy!
If you are going to use Hotel Jazz as your "base" of travel just be aware that the only thing close is the airport and the Blue Lagoon. So every time you want to head out to see other things like the geyser, waterfalls, glaciers, you are adding 1 1/2 hours to your travel every day as it is about 45 minutes to drive each way between Hotel Jazz and Reyjkavik and all the things to see are past Reyjkavik. We rented a car and was well worth it. Plus taxis are extremely expensive. Once you book it, unless you book a prepaid, no cancel rate, keep checking all the car rental rates every couple of days as they change constantly. During the 9 months of planning our 2 week Iceland trip, I saved us literally over $1,500 by checking car rental and hotel rates and booking lower rates for the identical type car, hotel and hotel room. I would just cancel the other reservation after booking the one at the lower rate. Just be sure to keep your cancellation emails so you have proof you cancelled in case they try to charge you as a no show. WARNING WHEN DRIVING AROUND ICELAND. I turn 60 next week and have NEVER had a parking or speeding ticket in my entire life. When we were driving on the open highway with a speed limit of 90kph, it was very easy to find yourself exceeding the limit unintentionally due to the remote area, no other cars on the road and looking at the scenery. Well at one point there was a RED FLASH on the highway. We learned what that was 3 months after our Iceland vacation. We received a letter from the Police who located us via Hertz Car Rental. It was a fine for $241 USD for speeding. And to top it off, they sent a picture of the license tag AND.....the two of us through the windshield sitting in the driver and passenger seat. What a nice souvineer. But it was my fault. I then did research on the internet and learned they have these cameras all over the rural areas of the country. A lot of people don't pay the fine but if you ever intend on returning or even connecting planes through Iceland I didn't want to risk it. We paid the fine and had a good laugh over it.
