Very clean, efficient staff, awesome restaurant right in the hotel which was so convenient. Waitress was awesome and food was great.
Rooms were spacious, clean, updated. Bed was very comfortable. Couldn’t find a temperature regulator, so opened the window ( which let the sunlight in during the night- no dusk until 1;00 am).
Only complaint would be that there was no counter space in the bathroom. But, everything else was so good, we could overlook that.
We stayed here at the end of our cruise so we could visit the Blue Lagoon, which was about 15 minutes away ( cost over $60 each way). We got there very early so they held our luggage until our room was ready)
We were very happy with our decision

We spent one night here before our very early flight out of Keflavik Airport. The hotel has a free shuttle on the hour that takes you to the airport in about 15 min. Very convenient and probably the only reason you would stay here as it is far from everything else. For dinner, we went to a fish and chips about 30 minutes on foot from the hotel.
The room was large and clean. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The TV selection was good. And the bed was super comfy.
We had breakfast for about 5 euros per person which was very convenient although not outstanding.
Fun fact : you can tell that the hotel is in an old US Army building by the bathroom. Heavy duty sink, shower, faucets and toilets all made in the USA.

I spent an entire week here and I to be moved 3 times. 1sr room the door hinges were coming off cause the door to bang very loudly everytime you go in and of the room. I asked Maintainece to come and have a look at it they came early in the morning while I was still sleeping and never came back after. I ask to be moved to another room. Room #2 a lot more modern (make sure to ask for a modern room) it was nice, but for how the shower was built while you were taking a shower all the water was going outside on the floor. We moved to rm#3 where at this point I gave up. Oh and this room was even more modern looking. The WiFi was crappy there, there was no fridge in the room, there was a hole in the bathroom wall and outside which they good have use some potty and fixed it. There was also the dry wall dust on the ground. The bathroom door handle kept coming off. The workers did not put it on right because all you needed to tighten the handle was an align key.

The majority of the staff were friendly both downstairs and upstairs in the restaurant. There was one person that was at the front that always seemed grumpy and asking her questions she just gives short answers. So it began uncomfortable to even ask her anything. Remember you are in hospitality need to be courteous. To the lady that showed us the map where to go to see the northern lights and helped others around also we thank you. You were the most helpful and we were so happy to see when you were there instead of the other one. We even ask her where we can go and all she said she don’t know you can just drive around and look for a dark space.

Wash rags needs to be given instead of just a face towel. Foot towels also. The place is cold need something to put your foot on instead of the cold tiles.

This hotel has a lot of potential. Lovely bar and restaurant. Rooms need some fixing properly and staff to be a little more helpful and courteous. I would give it another try in the future to see if they have improved.

I recently spent two nights at this hotel at the end of a week long visit to Iceland. Unfortunately my stay here was not as expected. On the positive side, the hotel location is very close to Keflavik Airport and within easy driving distance of activities on the Reykjanes peninsula, such as the Blue Lagoon and the current volcanic eruption. In addition, the staff were friendly and helpful, even when confronted with the displeasure we expressed with the room and the stay.

The primary reasons for my poor rating are the cleanliness of the room and the excessive noise in the hotel. The hotel is a converted dormitory building on the former military base and our room looked like a tired old dorm room. It was not anything like the photos presented on the hotel website - the staff explained that a remodel is in process. Additionally, the room was filthy when we checked in with handprints on the wall and hair all over the bedsheets. Hotel staff did not provide any cleaning service during the stay. Given that most of the world is experiencing a pandemic, rooms should be cleaned thoroughly between uses; mine apparently was not.

The location next to the airport means that guests are arriving and leaving at all hours, creating a very noisy situation, and we were unable to sleep more than a few hours a night during our stay due to noisy guests in the halls. Although the staff closed doors to limit noise from the bar, they made no effort to quiet noisy guests in the halls. We suggested they remind guests arriving late or departing early to be mindful of sleeping guests and hope they will adopt our recommendations of posting signs to that effect.

I will not stay here again.

The location is excellent. We had a hire car to drop off before our flight at 4am and the hotel was right by the hire place - great. However, it was expensive at almost $200 for the night, the food on site is excruciatingly expensive too.

The rooms have recently been refurbished, which is great, but they've messed up a few things. For example, the TV didn't work at all. The telephone system has buttons for housekeeping and room service, but neither worked. Reception might or might not answer your call, and when extra pillows were requested, nobody was available to bring them to our room so we had to dress and head back down to reception to get them.

My biggest issue is the lack of insulation between rooms. With a very early start, we turned in at 10pm, but the people next door came in shortly after and put their telly on really loudly. We could hear everything through the wall. We didn't want to be a nuisance so tolerated it, I was about to phone down to reception at 00:30 when finally the noise subsided. It didn't make for a restful sleep though.

This place is great for sleeping off a red eye arrival. We booked two rooms for two nights for our family of 5, booking the night before and the day of, so that we could check in at 8 am when we finally got out of the airport/rental car pickup. The “family” room is a double with a connecting door to a triple. Also comes with a nice simple breakfast. Will definitely stay here again for future stays in Iceland.

We stayed here on two separate occasions, as we landed very late at night, and then departed very early in the morning. The hotel is clean and spacious, the beds were comfy and the shower was good.
We got breakfast for our son (7) one day but it was rather average continental and I am not too bothered about breakfasts, but if you like that sort of thing I suppose it would be fine, however it does come at extra cost. The coffee though was free and was nice.
There is plenty of parking as well and its not far from the main road towards the airport or Reykjavik. The free airport shuttle is handy, but only operates at certain times, which meant we had to pay for a taxi on one night.
The downsides were the noise at night, the walls must be very thin as you could hear a lot, including people flushing the toilet in near by rooms, moving about pulling suitcases etc etc

In summary, it was decent enough value for a night if you are travelling

This hotel is really not worth it! The room was cold, the bathroom smelled bad and the sink in the bathroom didn't empty correctly. On top of that, the breakfast was on top of an expensive night. There are much nicer places to stay not far from Konvin where the personnel are very friendly, the rooms are clean and redone, the beds are comfortable and the price is half what we paid at Konvin. The extensive breakfast was included in the room fee and started at 4:00 or so in order to make it possible to catch early flights to Europe for example. Taking a taxi back and forth would still make the cost of the less expensive option much less expensive than Konvin.
The restaurant was also nothing to boast about but you could go there, even on foot, for dinner from this less expensive hotel.
This was a very disappointing finish to a lovely vacation in Iceland.

This is a summary of two stays, on the first and last day of a week's vacation.
It's a good hotel for those who want accommodation close to the airport, just to sleep.
Parking is free and ample, unlike most hotels in Reykjavik, which is great for those who rent a car.
The cleaning is impeccable.
The second time we used the restaurant, which has good food and the best price of all the restaurants we went to in Iceland in 7 days.
The room is wide, with an excellent bed and very soft pillows.
Breakfast is very basic. There's a little bit of everything, but no variety.
The bathroom doesn't have enough light for shaving. I had to grab one of the lamps from the nightstands, to see myself better in the mirror. There is also no foot towel to get out of the shower.
The staff in general are not very friendly. They are not rude, but they do not have adequate training (or education).
The breakfast staff, for the second time, didn't come to tell us, half an hour in advance, about the finishing time. But they did it the first time, and almost kicked us out (I hope customer reviews will help them to improve).
The receptionist at check-out, when he wanted to give him the room card, instead of accepting it, thanked us and wished us a good trip, only told us to put it into a basket. And he was doing nothing!
Those in the restaurant ignored us for several minutes, when we arrived. They were passing near us without taking us to the table, and even without saying good night. I was afraid we were transparent, like the invisible man.
If you don't care about refinement, it's a good hotel to stay in.

Located on the boundary of Keflavik International Airport - it's a IKR4,000 fare from Arrivals to the hotel but there's a complimentary shuttle bus from the hotel back to the airport. Our room was surprisingly large, clean, warm and with a big TV. Breakfast starts at 4am (brilliant for an early departure) and is buffet style with vegan options. The restaurant begins evening service at 5pm and the vegan option I chose was the burger with sweet potato fries. I found the staff amazing - so friendly and polite. Particularly the gentleman who checked us in and the bright and cheery lady at 4am breakfast!

No there is not. We had rented a car and drove the Golden Circle and then returned the car at the airport after our hotel stay.
