Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This hotel has very professional and friendly staff. We loved the location, rooms, and the breakfast. Staff made us feel welcome from the moment we entered the hotel. They accomodated an early check-in by preparing a room while enjoying a lovely breakfast. We'll certainly return and book this property again when in Reykjavik. Tips for travellers: Bus stop number 9 is roght outside this property which is where tours and shuttle to the airports pick you up and drop you off. We did not use public transportation, everything in town was within walking distance.

Enjoyed staying here. Initially I was disappointed by the slightly tatty appearance of the room and balcony (deluxe room) but it is apparent that they are currently undertaking decorating work so I'm sure this will be resolved. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and plenty of hot water. The staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient and breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Would definitely return.

Although the staff is very friendly and accommodating, nothing about this hotel screams 4 stars. The rooms are incredibly small. So small, that we couldn't even open our suitcase on the floor. We had to put them on the bed and close them up once we got out belongings out. The "balcony" is actually a shared balcony with all of the other rooms on the same floor. Safety was a concern, because anyone could look in our window from the balcony, or worse yet, come into our room. The food was just okay. The breakfast buffet was simple, but the seating was very basic and made you feel like you were in a dorm cafeteria. Aside from the great staff, the only other good thing about this hotel was the location. The bus stop for tours was right outside the door.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel from the minute of arrival to our departure. We arrived early morning and we were met by front desk staff Eduardo, who couldn't be more helpful or accommodating. We paid for a little upgrade to the 4th floor balcony but same standard room and paid for any early check-in which included breakfast. We were ready to drop our bags, unpack and have some hot coffee (yum) and delicious breakfast. The standard room is on the smaller side, think cruise cabin. We were in 426 and loved the location and quiet. Great sleeping too. Daily housekeeping. Beautifully kept buffet breakfast with hot and cold selections. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Conveniently located to many great restaurants, a Bonus supermarket, the food hall, an easy walk to bus stop 12 (lots of tour pick ups there) and a nice stroll to the harbor. Bus stop 9 is right outside the hotel. Right down Laugavegur are nice shops and the rainbow street and up a slight hill to your left is the famous church. Would absolutely recommend and return.

Enjoyed our stay. Facility was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Located close to shopping and resterants. Tours and airport bus pick up at the hotel. Buffet resterant on site. Breakfast was included offering hot and cold items and more than adequate. I thought dinner buffet was a little pricey but it was all you can so bring an appetite.

Clean, modern hotel situated at Bus stop 9 which made it really handy for day trips/pick ups. Booked a deluxe room which was allocated on 4th floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park and residential buildings. You could see mountains and sea through the gap in the buildings. The room was warm, comfortable beds and pillows with a kettle, fridge, iron, safe, mugs and coffee/tea. Small bathroom but it was clean and modern with a choice of shower heads. Breakfast was of good quality, lots of choice and food tasty. Easy check in and the hotel is located at the top of Laugavegur making it a short walk to most attractions. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We couldn’t fault this hotel. The location was perfect for exploring the city, the staff all super friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and a fantastic choice at breakfast. We had a kettle and fridge in our room plus a shower over the bath. Plenty of room for the two of us. A bonus for us was that our room was north facing and we got a fantastic view of the northern lights one evening. There is also a north facing balcony on the 4th floor where you can go out and look for the northern lights.

Nice Hotel, Good location at the top of one of the main streets, tour pick ups only a 5 minute walk away, harbour was a nice walk, plenty of surrounding restaurants or fast food places. 200 metres from sea from which was a good place to watch Northern Lights. Breakfast was good quality and choice, all staff very pleasant, room was big enough for 4 day stay.

Nice hotel in the center of Reykjavik. The room (330) is big enough for two people with big suitcases. It's clean and nice overall, the only downside are the thin walls, I was woken up at 0630 by some noise that sounded like running water aka the neighbors showering. Other than that everything was fine. Breakfast was good, you get scrambled eggs, beans, bread, toast, pastries and so on. The stuff is nice and takes care of everything.
