Reception closed at 4pm so no one was there to greet me or go over any details when I arrived. I simply found my key in an envelope at the main office and learned that I then had to walk about 2 blocks to my room through the snow with my suitcase. Had I known I would've asked the taxi...

We stayed here on our last 2 days in Iceland and we were glad we didn't start out in this hostel. We collected our key in the envelope in the main reception building so we never saw any staff. And then we found our room was in another building about 10 mins walk away from the main building! We booked...

When booking ask for the room in the reception block as the others are a walk away and if you want breakfast , which i would say have. Good value for money. The rooms are ok for the money. The staff are very friendly. Be careful when booking trips because this is my second visit to Iceland and on the...

Well! A good stay for 2 nights. The place is 15min walk from BSI terminal. 25min walk to stores. The rooms are average size, and clean. 1 bathroom is to be shared by 4-5 rooms but as what i experienced, didnt get a hard time of using it. The reception is only open from 0800-1600, so if you arrived at...

It's conveniently located within walking distance from all attractions and city centre. Hostel is spread across few buildings, all next to each other. There's a kitchen, I was able to prepare a meal there. Bathrooms are shared, they're generally very clean. However they really need to change brand of hand soap they use, it smells so bad. So if you...

Dear Ash H, Thank your for sharing your experience in our hostel. We are happy to read your satisfaction. We took note of all your comments. About the smell in the bathroom, it is one of the funny-surprising fact of Iceland : Visitors to Iceland often ask why there is this smell of "rotten eggs"... This is because the hot...

Good value for money if you're just staying the night. The bathrooms were too old and not that clean. One bathroom have an old bathtub with a curtain shower so the bathroom are always wet and stinky. Another bathroom had a tiny shower with the door completely loose... It was impossible not to touch the door, making it: disgusting, uncomfortable...

I had a beautiful moment there. I paid for the breakfast and it's was great. The room was clean and sunny. The breakfast is expensive ( everything is expensive in Iceland anyway ... ) but worth it ! I recommended this place.

This is a great location, only 10 mins walk to Laugavegur and all other sites. The rooms in the main building were very spacious and had a small kettle and sink in the rooms. Breakfast was expensive and didn't have a great selection.
