Volcano Hotel is a very nice country hotel in the area of Mýrdalur valley, by the southern most tip of Iceland. We have only 7 spacious and beautiful rooms at the hotel, the rooms are decorated in Scandinavian style, with hard wood floors and light interiors. All our rooms have private bathroom with shower, shampoo, soaps and a hairdryer. There is a nice lounge/dining room with a bar at Volcano Hotel and dinner is available for our guests, if it is booked in advance - latest the morning of your arrival. We take price in offering a personal service and know the importance of meeting a local, so do chat with us and ask us about anything in Iceland - we're happy to help.

Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Iceland this one was my favorite. The room was great and so is the common area. There was a nice selection for breakfast and the staff is wonderful. It was quite in our room and we did not hear other guests. The blackout curtains

The gentleman on reception could not of done more for us (I think Thomas?) Knowing it was our wedding anniversary he brought us chocolate cake to the room and was a fountain of knowledge on what to do locally. He sorted non feather bedding being that i’m a total pain and

The location is great. The rooms are large and comfy. Beds are wonderful after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was great, one of the better included breakfasts we had during our trip. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and hospitality!

Yes, 7:30 to 9:30. We found that most places had a similar schedule. Some even started at 8:00 at the earliest. Breakfast included fresh bread, jams, espresso machine, cheeses, crackers, salami, cereals, fried eggs.... Considered a typical Icelandic breakfast. Other places also included fish. Breakfast was delicious.
