Icelandair Hotel Vik is a new hotel in a wonderful setting in the village of Vik in Myrdalur Valley. It is nestled under sandstone hills and is embraced by magnificent natural surroundings. The views are stunning as you look out over the beach, to the sea and the Reynisdrangar Pillars, and experience the spectacular cliffs and birdlife where the puffins in Mt. Reynisfjall are only a stone's throw away. Myrdalsjokull Glacier stands guard over the region in all its splendor and there are adventures to be had all around. The hotel has 78 elegantly fitted rooms, decorated with Icelandic design and inspired by the natural environment. Our staff is happy to pamper guests and all general services in the local community are excellent.

Had a wonderful experience at the Iceland air Vik Hotel. Very close to the glacier hike and waterfalls. The staff was friendly and helpful with all needs. Reason for a 4 star review is the breakfast could have been better and included with the stay as the other hotels

Booked this hotel super last minute as we got stuck in Vik due to the weather, lady at the reception was excellent and was kind enough to give us a free upgrade. Beautiful spacious room and bathroom, overall we had an amazing nights stay and forgot all about the stress of not

We stayed at this hotel as a last minute decision. Our air b&b wasn't quite what we expected so we booked different hotels in different cities and went on a spontaneous road trip around Iceland instead. (would definitely recommend this idea if visiting Iceland to save driving

My husband and I stayed here while we were touring Vik. We had the corner suite with an excellent view of the water and surrounding hill/mountains. The room was large and one entire wall was a window; we slept with the curtains open in case the northern lights were going to make

Hotel has two parts. A modern renovated main section and old past their prime cottages next to it. Make sure you don’t take the cottages. Staff were friendly. But room wasn’t. Hotel breakfast was functional.

Response from Sigurdur G, General Manager at Icelandair Hotel Vik

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. It is unfortunate that you were not entirely satisfied with your stay. We do offer different room types to suit distinctive traveller needs and each room category provides more space and amenities than the category below it. And probably a guest room in our main building would have rather met your expectations. However, we are pleased to share with you that the cottages will undergo a renovation in a few weeks, so that we can offer them with a new look and feel this coming summer. Since we care deeply about the satisfaction and happiness of our guests, we highly appreciate candid feedback like yours as it helps us to monitor our service and quality standards moving forward. Thank you for being our guest and we are convinced that if you give us the opportunity to welcome you back at our hotel, we would exceed your expectations.

Good morning Sigurdur, Unfortunately we don´t have hot tub in our property. We do have a pool in town, around 5min walking from the hotel, with 2 swimming pools and one hot tub, open from 10am until 7pm. Best regards, Ana
