Great stay in Harbour Hostel, very clean and nice family room we stayed in with balcony. Super friendly staff. Local bakery was close by and they have best bread we have tasted. Restaurant next to Harbour Hostel was as well fantastic, salted cod and fish soup was so fresh and good. We recommend this Hostel and are definitely going to...

This charming hostel really is one of those places where you feel home as soon as you arrive. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and will do anything to make you feel comfortable and help you organize your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. I am really glad I stopped there and will...

We stayed 2 nights here while exploring the Snaefellsnes peninsula. While a bit distant from the National Park, the driving was not long and fun in itself, and the town of Stykkisholmur more than made up for any extra driving. We had a family room for us and our son, and it was comfortable. The place had a homey feel...

A nice guesthouse close to the harbour, and with parking outside the premises. The owner seemed friendly and helpful, although we did not have the chance to speak to him that much. We were placed in a 4-people room (1 double and 1 bunk bed), even if it was two of us. The feeling is that this place aims to...

The Harbour Hostel is located directly at the Harbour and several rooms have a harbour and sea view. At the harbour you can see the fishing boots off-loading their catch. The harbour is quiet at night. The Hostel is cosy and the two persons rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. However there are only shared toilets and showers...

I am so glad we stayed in Stykkisholmur and at Harbour Hostel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The building itself is quirkily set up but it made it that much more cozy. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm and it was quite comfortable. Perfect location next to the harbor, the little Norwegian House Museum and food options....

90% of total population of Iceland 350,000 people live in the capital city, Reykjavik. Today we left Reykjavik (driving) and we realize that it is indeed a lonely planet. It's me, my wife and unparalleled natural beauty on the road. It was drizzly, cloudy, new roads and unfamiliar names. We got comfortable in about an hour. Sea on our left...

Stayed one night here--would highly recommend. Some of the nicer places in town were already booked, so we booked a private room here. It wasn't cheap, but nothing in Iceland is very cheap. Stykkisholmur is a super cute seaside town and I would recommend anyone doing the Ring Road to make a stop here. I actually wish we had more...

Just spent one night here. Felt like an average hostel, except for the price, though that is to be expected in Iceland. Room I was staying in had two bunks and no lockers. Shower room was good, place was clean. Though the removing of shoes coming into the hostel gets old quick. The quaint city is very nice. Good pizza...

This small hostel has a familiar atmosphere. Bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. Downstairs there is a kitchen. Linen are included. Bus stop is close to the hostel. Good accommodation option in Stykkishólmur.
