Really good location, close the shops and train station. Decently priced room. Building was really old but had character to it. Rooms were pretty cleaned although outdated. Overall a satisfying and decent experience.
Bed as uncomfortable as the floor, very loud fans, dirty. Inadequate window coverings and closure. No protection from noisy neighbouring rooms. No barrier on top bunk bed. Advise not to stay here if you have any choice.
We arrived to a beer bottle lid on our bed and a banana peel in the bedside cupboard. The chairs were filthy and we literally just slept and left at the crack of dawn. Definitely one to avoid if you can.
If you were homeless this place might seem like paradise but it is dilapidated, pokey and the worst value for money of anywhere I’ve stayed. The room wasn’t serviced for the three days I foolishly paid for upfront.
WORST EXPERIENCE I have encountered in my life. I have unfortunately paid for 2 nights in advance as it was an emergency. $150 per night ($130 over the phone but $150 upon arrival, of course) for 2 people with a $50 deposit for a DISGUSTING one bedroom with an even dirtier…
"Only as a last resort!"
"Go to another hotel if yopu want to stay healthy and calm"
"Only there one night so can't assess other rooms but mine was terrible"
"Old mansion so expect OLD."
"Choose a different place to stay."
