A lovely warm welcome from Sylvia when we arrived followed by tea and homemade cakes and scones. We were introduced to Sylvia's lovely family. Both Charlie and Chloe introduced us to 4 new kittens, little new baby chicks and the sheep which they show at the local farming shows. The food here is all homemade with homegrown pork, beef and lamb and Sylvia makes wonderful puddings all served with lashing of proper clotted cream!, There is plenty to do and see in the area and the farm is a good base to come back too. A truly wonderful experience!

What a wonderful welcome I received upon arrival from Sylvia and her family, such a lovely family, and super farmhouse accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble for Sylvia, and my salad with home cooked ham went down a treat. Sadly I was only able to stay one night, but before my departure, (after a yummy breakfast of locally sourced or home grown food), Sylvia's lovely daughter showed me around the farm, and I learned about Kevin the prize winning ram, stroked the horses and almost took a kitten home with me! A truly memorable stay with a genuinly lovely family in a truly beautiful area, and like a previous reviewer I didn't want to leave!

States here for a long weekend, my sister lives close by but had a house full with 3 young boys, 18 year old daughter & her boyfriend, a new baby & our mum, bedlam! So glad I decided to stay here, peace & quiet! Sylvia couldn't do enough for me, dinner on arrival even though I was late due to traffic accidents that had held me up, home made biscuits in my room, tea & coffee. A huge bath with a good shower as well, plenty of hot water. A fantastic breakfast in the morning, stunning scenery. I went riding on Dartmoor & was left out home made cake & fresh jug of milk for my tea on my return. Then I had a tour of the farm & met Kevin the ram & his ladies, I could ramble on forever but I think you get the idea I loved it there, I didn't want to leave!
