Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed two nights at the lodge while visiting the Slimbridge wwt.. on arrival our key and booking form were in an envelope as reception, with a lady on reception if needed. Our room was warm and welcoming afler a damp walk around bird sanctuar. Big towls and slippers provided plus tea, coffee, and chocolate. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast is taken in the pub next door. Check out can be done online or in the pub. Will definitely be revisiting.

We were very impressed with the high standard of accommodation at the Tudor Arms. Arrival was very efficient and easy. The family room was spacious and very well equipped, providing an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay - for humans and dogs! Everything was spotlessly clean. Food is available in the popular adjacent pub/restaurant which was very convenient. Staff were very helpful. The location was an added bonus - a short walk away from the beautiful canal and with the Slimbridge Wetlands close by. Excellent value for money - we will certainly return to the Tudor Arms and this newly discovered area of Gloucestershire. Many thanks.

We recently stayed at the Tudor Lodge on two evenings, one at the start and the other at the end of our recent holiday to Cornwall. This property was recommended to us by friends. On both occasions we stayed in one of the large modern spacious lodge rooms (myself, husband and our dog). Both rooms were very well equipped and finished to a very hight standard, had large super comfy beds and large bathrooms with both a shower and bath. On both occasions we enjoyed a very good breakfast and evening meal. As the property is located next to the canal we took the opportunity to have a walk one evening which was very pleasant. This is a lovely venue and I'd definitely recommend to others.

Room Tip: As it gets very busy at weekends you need to book a table if you want to have an evening meal.

Excellent, well equipped and very clean rooms. This is my second stay here and I plan to visit again in December as the location is excellent for Slimbridge WWT. Friendly, approachable staff, good service and the evening meal was excellent.

Another good meal here. We stay at the campsite, a stone's throw away. A good selection of beer - the Dorset Gold was great after a canal walk. The fish rissoles as a starter were disappointing, all you could taste was potato and chilli sauce. The main meal was very good. Braised beef, very tender, and good portions of mashed potatoes, roast carrots, and broccoli. The potatoes could have benefited from some milk and butter. The sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely perfect, with loads of sauce. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a really good place to go.

This was our third stay at The Tudor Arms, this time for 5 nights, and is ideal for visiting Slimbridge Wetland Centre. There is free parking (separate from the pub parking), and half of the rooms are on the ground floor. The room was very comfortable and spacious, very clean and quiet. The bathroom was a good size, the shower was over the bath, but it was quite shallow so I didn't have a problem getting in and out. Breakfast is in the attractive conservatory, and offers the usual choice of juices, fresh fruit salad, cereals, followed by a cooked English, double English (if you are really hungry!), or a selection from that. The scrambled eggs were very good, nice and fluffy. We ate in the restaurant each night. They have a choice of specials (I had the tuna steak - twice!) or there is the usual pub grub (fish & chips, burgers, etc). They also have a wide choice of vegetarian and vegan options. Everything was very well cooked, the staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next stay!

A lovely overnight stay and dinner in the pub. We were visiting WWT Slimbridge so this was a very handy spot. Fabulous room, spotlessly clean, spacious and warm. Dinner in the pub was delicious, although service was variable, but the6 were very busy. Excellent breakfast with superb service. We will definitely be back!

Lovely lunch - we elected to have a starter and dessert as the main meals are always very good portions and the sticky toffee pudding is too tempting to resist. staff were attentive and friendly - we will be back!
