Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ghajn Damma is definetely worth a visit. The place has beautiful interior, nice furniture and very well decorated AND the view is just breathtaking. The area around is very quiet and pleasant, only a short walk away from Marsalforn. The host is super nice, friendly and helpful. Restaurant, shops, bars etc are only 10min. walk away.
During our stay we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and of course the golden color of the valley before the sun goes down is just mesmerizing.

The worst place I've stayed in my life. "Host" does not understand about hospitality at all, He didn't welcome my friend and I for check -in but he was able to meet us for check-out, knocking in our door only 5 minutes after check-out time (by the way 10.00 am), and not even saying good morning at least. We went out of the room and planing to enjoy a while in the place when he kicked us out of the property because he was waiting for new guests (not really sure that was true). We only find a lack of hospitality in this place.
Place has a great view, but only that, actually pictures are a bit overestimated. Location only works if you have a car, it is a bit far from everything

Was very dissatisfied with the service. Its classified as a b and b and there was no breakfast at all. And to make things worse it even a pkt of milk to make tea. Not even a bottle of water. Most dissatisfied experience. The only thing that was good were the views . We asked for milk and we told to go and buy ourselves.

The views from the shared terrace and pool area are exceptional. That is the main selling point. The kitchen is very well equipped and the common areas are comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are slightly above average. The B&B does not list the extra cost for A/C and heating. This should be indicated in advance, not communicated after clients have booked non-refundable stays. (many people on booking.com also complained about this, alas, I hadn't noticed in advance).

The rooms facing street are very noisy. A mid-sized local road is right outside the building. You hear every car going by. The host suggested I close the shutters, this helped moderately. As host claims to have "5-star amenities", they should invest in double glazed windows (which would help with temperature issue, as it was quite cold). Others have complained about this too. If you are a mid-light sleeper, try requesting a room overlooking the valley.
As another review has indicated, the host can be extremely disagreeable even ranging on rude. I agree, quite inhospitable. Maybe he has good and bad days, but this shouldn't be taken out on guests. He was rather cold in advance communication, then I accidentally knocked over and broke the soap dispenser. When I was honest about this he claimed it was worth 45 euros (a soap dispenser!) and didn't provide any proof of this and instead suggested I go to the bathroom supply shops in town to cross reference. When I went to the shops he suggested, they said there was no way the item was purchased there. Okay, perhaps he remembered where he purchased it incorrectly, and perhaps he also remembered the price wrong too. During our discussion, he remained completely inflexible and got ruder and ruder, he even had the audacity to say the dresser in my room was "a mess". It wasn't a mess, it had belongings on it and a sealed ziplock with some food, there was nowhere else to set belongings down in the room. This was mid-stay and it shouldn't have mattered if my belongings were placed in the room...
The above factors are a shame as the place is otherwise very nice.

We recently stayed at the excellent Ghajn Damma aparments in Xaghra, Gozo. My wife and I felt that this was one of the best places we have stayed at, and our room on the first floor overlooked the valley with views to Marsalforn and the coast, fields and countryside and back towards Xaghra. Really quality accomadation with an excellent host to help with local directions etc, Reuben thank you for our stay.+

My wife and I booked the Deluxe King Suite which is very spacious and clean. There is a wonderful view over Marsalforn valley. Very quiet and peaceful area, ideal for relaxing. Well equipped kitchen including free tea and coffee. Reuben, the host, is an extraordinary guy and very helpful.
