Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

A perfect three night stay. Sophie was amazing, helpful, flexible and a delight to chat to. The building is just stunning, with everything created for calm and serene stays and the outside space is just incredible. My stay was not only relaxing, but also felt comfortable in the space. The location is in a beautiful little town, with easy access to the whole island and Sophie can guide you on transport and places to see. Not to miss the restaurants in the square! Thank you Sophie!

Gosh! Absolutely amazing stay, in fact I wish it could have been longer. There is nothing bad to say about this place. The host Sophie is one of a kind, lovely lady and perfect host. The breakfast was wonderfully, heartily prepared and so so healthy. The room was great too, such a peaceful place so much so it is felt as soon as you walk in the door and the essential oil fragrance throughout the house is truly beautiful. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway stay to unwind with your partner, this is the place to go. Excellent Sophie, until next time:) x

We stayed here for 6 nights but could have stayed longer. The property is only small but is perfectly formed in every way. Sophie is a fantastic host and ensured we had everything we needed and more, right before our holiday even began, answering our questions and providing information about car rental, transfers from the port and local restaurants. Botanica is the place to switch off and relax and this is evident as soon as you walk in - the ambiance and heavenly smell of the place is truly wonderful. Breakfast is a real treat, served in the pretty garden area and really set us up for the day. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean and we loved coming back to the pool in the afternoon after a day spent exploring Gozo. Botanica is a short walk to the square where there are some lovely restaurants and there is free car parking if you choose to hire a car as we did although the bus stop is also very close by.

A special mention for Gracie the cat and her black cat friend who definitely have the right idea, spending their days relaxing in the garden at this little piece of paradise.

Everything exceeded all my expectations!
My room on the top floor up the impressive spiral staircase was delightful. Large, beautifully furnished, well appointed and above all…quiet.
All the reviews I have seen on here have commented on Sophie’s breakfast…and for good reason! The place setting was magnificent, only overshadowed by the extraordinary quality of the actual breakfast! Croissants, bread, scrambled eggs, fruit, canapés, halva and tons of delicious coffee.
Sophie is the most attentive host, but she also knows exactly when you want space. She is very knowledgeable and happy to give recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt so incredibly welcome.
I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest (strongly) that you stay here.
Just a note on logistics…the buses were plentiful and easy to navigate…nothing on Gozo is too far away!

We had a very relaxing one night at Botanica B&B. Everything exceeded our expectations!

The room was very tidy and well-lit, in a quite part of the house on top & equipped with all amenities.
The guests have access to the entire house which is absolutely beautiful and very cozy! Everything about the house is perfect...from the architecture to the beautiful décor. The house is decorated with plants both indoors & in the central courtyard.

The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared by Sophie. The food presentation was superb...it even had freshly cut flowers (from the courtyard) as décor!

Sophie, the host is very friendly lady who has the guests' experience her number one priority. She goes out of her way to ensure that you have a pleasant stay! She also spent some time with us during breakfast where we really enjoyed talking with her. Will definitely consider Botanica B&B again when we return to Gozo.

Botanica was a gem. The breakfast was AMAZING and the room was clean and comfortable. Sophie is a great host. The patio where breakfast is served has lots of flowers and plants. The pool area was nice for relaxing and the house felt homey. I enjoyed our balcony and the large bathroom. It is a very nice walk to the town square for dinner or to the temples. Bolt takes you anywhere on the island quickly as well. The stairs are a bit treacherous up, but that is everywhere in Malta. There is a darling cat at the home as well, Gracie, who sits nicely by you during breakfast and is a sweet cat who likes pets. I wish we spent more time here and it was a nice change of pace from Valletta.

Everything was perfect. Room was super clean and quiet. Breakfast was exquisite, with homemade food. The whole house is beautiful, with essential oil diffusers and plants interspersed throughout. Sophie the host was lovely. Will definitely return.

Sophe has a lovely sanctuary in this charming town. The ambiance is welcoming, rooms spacious, well appointed and the breakfasts are unbelievable. She is very helpful and very attentive. We stayed 4 days and could have stayed longer. While it was too cool to use the pool it would be very inviting on warm days.
