Hotel has seen better days and looked a bit tired, but staff did their best to make our stay enjoyable and resolving issues we had with our room. Restaurants within the complex offer a wide range of food. We tried all five restaurants and the quality was very good. The indoor pool was small and busy at times, but it...

My 10th year of visiting Malta and I never tire of the magnificent view across the water to Valletta from my balcony at the Fortina, especially at night when floodlit Valletta is reflected by the water. The Fortina is still a 'grand old dame' offering traditional service and cuisine, it's looking rather tired in places but it is clean and...

We had a bumpy start, which was not quite the hotel's fault. We were originally given a room in the spa resort section due to a mess up with booking.com, but changed rooms with our friend as his was not really wheelchair accessible. Tears were shed, blah, blah, blah, but the staff were really friendly and helpful, & seriously, whilst...

Great view of valletta if u get sea facing room DO NOT fall 4 the offer of an 'upgrade' to a superior garden suite which has a view of a shaded pool area. The hotel bar is ridiculously priced (£5 pint) but the trick is to buy a litre carafe of Maltese wine (£10) in Fortina restaurant and take that...

Really great holiday and so sad to leave. Location is perfect, on the waterfront with views of the Capital City bastion walls. Hotel offers a dine around concept. Chinese and Thai restaurant was our favorite. Manager and staff really nice and joyful. Will be back.

Visited previously so decided to revisit for the festive season. Great location on promenade, overlooking Valletta and harbour with Tigne Point shopping centre nearby. Sea or garden view rooms available with up-grade to deluxe rooms possible. We travelled with Mercury Direct who give free up-grades on certain dates. Our deluxe garden room had hairdryer, safe, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and...

Stayed at Hotel Fortina in Sliema, Malta for 10 days. Been to the hotel before so knew what to expect. The hotel is in an excellent location on the promenade overlooking the harbour with Valletta on the other side. Buses and the ferry are a short walking distance away. The Tigne Point shopping complex is nearby. Rooms either have sea...
