Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful quirky accommodation set away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Vallarta but only five minute walk from the centre.
The Vincent is more a selection of apartments than an hotel. There is a reception desk (not 24 hours) and entrance is gained by a keypad for which you will be emailed the code and check in instructions prior to your arrival.
Some rooms are accessed by a staircase which is a little narrow and winding so care must be taken. There is also a lift available, great if you are on the top floor as we were!

The apartments are spread out over 5 floors and look down into a central courtyard. Rooms are spacious and have huge comfortable beds, air conditioning, spacious bathrooms, smart TV and tea and coffee facilities.
There is a roof terrace which gives lovely views over towards Sliema and the done of the Basilica.
Our room was T a Wenza, situated on the 5th floor. Our room benefited from Aldi having a patio which would be fantastic in the warmer months.
The staff at the Vincent are very helpful and friendly. A special mention must be given to Alice who we seemed to come into contact with most.
Breakfast was basic but plentiful consisting of a small selection of cold meats and cheeses, a croissant, toast, juice and coffee. On a personal note we found it a little repetitive and started having breakfast elsewhere after several days.
The Vincent is set in an area of the city where most of the locals live and there are several bars and cafes around which are favoured by locals but you are made more than welcome. It is also very close to Fort St Elmo, the Seige Bell etc.
Because of the location of the Vincent, access to Republic Street and Merchant Street is by quite a steep hill. These bills may cause a problem if you have mobility issues but on the positive side there is a bus stop about 20 yards away at the end of the street where a town bus service operates every 30 minutes. There is also a taxi buggy which can be called.
All in all, Valletta is a wonderful place to visit with so much to see. The Vincent is a wonderful, peaceful place to stay and we really enjoyed our 2 week stay here.
We will certainly return to the .Vincent in the future and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

The Vincent is in an excellent location just outside the main street of Valletta with good access to the sites in the city and the Fast Ferry to Gozo.

Our room (The Loft) was beautiful, very spacious and had conveniences such as a kitchen, balcony and private entrance which made it easy to eat in if necessary and come and go as we pleased.

The staff were very friendly throughout the hotel and always on had when we needed help or advice.

The Vincent is highly recommended and would gladly return should we visit Valletta again.

Thank you all for a fantastic stay.

The Vincent hotel was like no other hotel I’ve stayed in before. It’s kept true to its original features and you really get like you were staying in a traditional Maltese building. The location is perfect for walking to all the sites around Valletta and would highly recommend staying here!

The first thing I have noticed as I have entered the room (Ta Wenzu), was the dirty floor, both in the room and the bathroom (especially the bathroom). There were stains all over the place.
For such high rating (4 stars hotel) i'd at least expect for there to be a pair of slippers (as its mentioned on their website) & care products (the bathroom had only 2 hand soaps and one half empty shampoo bottle). The hair dryer wasn't even working.. and i stayed at lower rated hotels that had such things. For such luxury wannabe appearance photos this hotel has, the bathroom has a very old and rusty toilet brush and stained towels. And.. there were ants in the bathroom!!!
The breakfast was quite good but not exemplary.
The tidy up message i have left hanging outsite the door meant only making up my bed and putting the towels i left down on the floor on purpose (so they can change them with new ones) back on the towels hanger. They didnt even replaced them. Tidy up didn't even mean cleaning the floor.
For a 4 stars hotel, I would expect much more.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Vincent. Really friendly, helpful staff. The room was comfortable and cool. Each room quite distinctive with a rich character. The area where the hotel is situated is in a quieter part of the city but only a short walk (10 mins) from the main centre and a bus stop is at the end of the street (2 mins).

The small gem is located in the heart of old town Valletta, Malta. The owner serves delicious breakfast in this unique outdoor setting. You have to go see it. Beautiful. Shopping and Restaurants were all walking distance. Has a fantastic holiday.

The room and the location were fine! Breakfast and the ladies serving fine too. However, paying 170 euros per night was really an exaggerated price for all of it. Moreover, without counter service after 16.00!
The worst thing is that my colleague we used a similar type of room for the same period, paid almost half of the amount I paid. Is this acceptable?

The 'quirkiest' place we've every stayed in. So glad we found it (as a recommendation in the Lonely Planet Malta guide). The decor is really unusual and fun and I loved the wall paintings dotted around the stairs. Bed comfy, breakfast excellent, staff are all really helpful. The location is so convenient for exploring Valletta, and getting the city circular bus is dead easy as it goes past the door every 30 minutes. It's the only hotel on a street of 'real' Maltese homes and I loved being able to watch the world go by from the balcony. The only downside to our stay (minor) was that the ceiling wasn't well insulated from noise from above, but it was no big deal. It won't be the hotel for you if you like chain hotels with a boxy look - this is different, and we loved it.

This is the second time we have stayed at this fun and quirky hotel.
The hotel is close to the centre of Valletta with restaurants and amenities close by.
The staff are friendly and helpful,
The rooms are all very spacious and very individual retaining the atmosphere of the original building.
The Vincent is now our go to destination when in Valletta.

We really enjoyed our staying in this old but very good conserved bulding with mixed decorating characteristics from the past and the present. It was exactly what we wanted in the centre of Valletta. The breakfast had a big variety and the kindness of Suzanna was always there to serve us. Very quiet neibourhood, safe enough to walk anytime of day&night, very easy to get to the city centre. Also a must to enjoy the morning and the sunset view from the rooftop, a really maltese experience. Definetely I could stay again if I had the chance. Thank you Boyan!
