66 Saint Paul’s is set in a recently restored and modernised 17th century palazzo, located in Malta’s capital city of Valletta. This beautiful property offers, personalised service and luxurious accommodation, in an architectural gem of a building. Within the central courtyard, guests and visitors can sit and enjoy the majestic features of the Palazzo whilst savouring a light snack, a glass of wine or a warm cup of coffee. The limestone courtyard to this boutique hotel is incredibly beautiful, from the design and architecture to the calming tones and relaxing ambiance - it was a real pleasure to come back to this hotel after a long day sightseeing. I was allocated room 303, which faces the internal courtyard. No big deal, but it felt like there was a bit of a disconnect between the courtyard and the bedroom - almost like two different hotels. The warmth just didn’t follow through to the bedroom. Maybe some more soft furnishings and natural tones to reflect the calm and tranquility of the courtyard would make it feel more connected to the rest of the hotel. That said, the room was still lovely, with a really cool and modern bathroom, and it was very reasonably priced. My room was on the third floor and close to the glass ceiling, so with the shutters opened, there was a nice light coming into the room. There was a really nice coffee maker in the bedroom, but no tea making facilities i.e. no electric kettle, even though the website says this is provided, which was a little inconvenient. The bed made for a good nights sleep, the shower was hot and had great water pressure, and the towels were fluffy and really fresh smelling. Luxury Molton Brown toiletries were provided, as were nightgowns. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is fantastic and within walking distance to everything. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, but I would probably pay a bit more and book one of the rooms facing the harbour - from the website they look to be more in keeping with the beautiful courtyard and seem to have great views. I didn’t use the spa, but would would make a point to if I returned, as it looked equally beautiful and relaxing.

We stayed at 66 saint pauls on our recent visit to Malta. Would defo recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived at the airport and whilst we were waiting at passport control lovely Mary phoned us to see if we had landed and to tell us that our driver was waiting for us outside..we had booked transfer through the hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel we had a drink in the beautiful courtyard and were given a map of Valletta..which was a god send to navigate whilst there. We went to our room which was an inner courtyard room. This was very modern with great facilities and very clean. We also had a separate seating area balcony which looked down onto the courtyard which was a lovely place to sit and relax..would book this room again when we return. Rooms have a fridge which is stocked with drinks which are payable, also free bottled water is provided in a lovely glass bottle. Rooms were cleaned great everyday..thanks to the cleaners. Hotel is VERY central to all sights and restaurants in Valletta so a great choice. Breakfast is adequate and provides different choices for everyone...fresh fruit, hams, cheeses, cereals, little mini omelette, pastries, toast is provided if you ask the waiter. Fresh juices, tea, coffee and water also provided. The only little thing that I would agree from the previous review is that it would make a lot of sense to have someone even coming up to the pool area every half hour or so to check if people would like drinks or food etc. There is a phone to call down to reception area but no labels on the phone as to what button to push so we had to put clothes on all the time we wanted a drink and go downstairs to the bar area, not a big deal but just a little thing that might be worth while or put a sticker on the phone so guests know how to contact for a drink. Especially in peak season as it was extremely hot so drinks needed frequently. All in all happy with the hotel service, room and location and will stay here on another visit to Malta.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location to explore central Valletta. Comfortable, immaculately clean and well appointed rooms with excellent bathrooms, comfy beds and plenty of storage.
Reasonable choice for breakfast which is served in a dining room or the central atrium courtyard which can be open air or covered in inclement weather.
Only negative would be that the (rooftop) pool looked as if it could do with cleaning and the parasols were hard to move and looked a bit unstable. Maybe a different shade solution could be better?
Lovely friendly and helpful staff, definitely recommend.

We were lost for words. The whole experiencing within our Holiday to Malta was amazing and mainly down to the hotel we stayed in- 66 St Pauls. The Hotel itself on arrival is very welcoming with architecture that strikes a fine balance between preserving history and accommodating guests cohesively. The central location allowed us to venture to most places with very minimal travel in addition to being surrounded by an abundance of wonderful eateries and scenery. The service and the staff were nothing short of sincere and incredible, such to the point that words fail to describe how wonderful they truly were.

From Edwin, to Nicholetta, Matthias, Djorde, Neysa and Kloilda amongst many others- they made our trip to Malta, a holiday of a lifetime. Each member was hospitable and instrumental in helping us plan our daily excursions and deciding on areas to visit and places to eat.

The service during breakfast was impeccable and coupled with delicious, fresh food, serving as the best start to the busy days ahead.
Our highlight remains with the brief evening discussions with Edwin, where he provided us an insight into the culture and history in Malta. He truly went out of his way to show us a different and remarkable perspective of Malta. We vouch for the fact that 66 St Pauls allowed us to have a true Maltese experience and gave us a platform to witness the beautiful culture and heritage that this wonderful country offers. A n amazing hotel with amazing staff. The experience has left us, counting down the days before we can visit and stay again- Nimai and Anmol

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Valletta. Impressively renovated original house in a quiet side street. Renovations have maintained authentic features but added fome modern features to enlarge the hotel. Great location- you can walk to the main centre & Republic St in 4 minutes or walk down to the Sliema ferry in about 15 minutes. Bedroom very tastefully furnished and very comfortable bed. Breakfast choice was very good and served on ground floor. Small roof top pool and sunbathing area offers stunning views across the Grand Harbour. Top floor rooms have their own balcony & offer same views. Lots of restaurants very close by to choose from . All staff were very helpful and attentive.

Valletta is a very interesting, historic city and this beautifully renovated, upscale hotel is in a great location, has elegant rooms and we had a large, beautiful balcony overlooking the old harbour and the quaint rooftop pool area.
The breakfast items were fresh and tasty, but limited, and although they offered to make you small pancakes, other hot items should have been offered. The coffees were also really good.
A few updates to this hotel could make it even better: the bar area at the pool was empty and nobody was manning it, so we had to call the front desk so they could bring us food and drinks, breakfast should include other hot dishes and they should make sure to find and repair the sewer odour that was present near the lobby elevator during our stay.
We would like to thank Cassandra for all of her help during our stay.
All in all, a very nice hotel which we would highly recommend.

We were very happy to stay at the 66 Saint Paul's at a fantastic location in Valletta. Everything is close nearby: restaurants, wine bars, shops, sights, the fast ferry to Gozo, the bus terminal. Just perfect!
The small boutique hotel is recently opened, with modern interior in an old building. All done in good taste.
We were very well met with a glass of prosecco and a brief introduction to the hotel and surroundings on our arrival. The staff was very efficient and friendly overall.
Due to Covid regulations breakfast had to be ordered the night before, and it was served to the table in the breakfast room at your chosen time. But this worked just fine, and the food was good with cold cuts, cereal, muffins, buns, dairy, fresh fruit etc.
Our room faced the inner yard, a minor drawback with no view outside, but also very quiet. We had a deluxe room, probably the smallest of them. That was a bigger minus. The only place to sit down besides on the bed was out on the balcony facing the yard!
Housekeeping was efficient, the room was cleaned and fresh towels brought every day.
On the day of our departure we could not have a late check out because the hotel was fully booked. Instead we could use hotel spa facilities downstairs to freshen up and change clothes before we left. The spa was not open due to Covid regulations.

We had a brilliant experience at 66 and it’s worthy of 5 stars. From start to finish the staff made us feel welcome, offering recommendations on great places to eat and visit. The penthouse suite was very spacious, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The view over Valletta harbour was stunning. Even though 66 is in the centre of Valletta it’s still quiet at night. Best place to stay and we will be back.

Staying in this establishment is the best solution to ensure a successful trip.

The staff will take good care of you, they will welcome you warmly with a glass of quality prosceco. The rooms are cleaned daily to perfection. Breakfast is mostly homemade and very tasty.

The swimming pool area is a heaven of peace.

I have a thought for Edwin, who shared his passion for his Maltese culture and his kindness, for Dimitri, his smile and his altruism, and for Doubbe, for his joie de vivre and his famous "enjoy" by serving us the breakfast, so pleasant. And thank you to the rest of the team who welcomed us as well.

I will return to Malta and especially to this establishment with my eyes closed.

I have a fabulous memory of it.

Located in the heart of the Valleta and excellently served by public transport.

If you’re looking for a hotel to stay in Malta, stop looking, you have found it already 😉

Thank you to the staff for the most unbelievable summer
Love,
Dolly and Julia ❤️

We spent the first 3 nights of a 9-day holiday in late April visit Malta at this charming boutique hotel. With just around 20 rooms in a renovated former palace, it was a perfect place to start our visit.

We splurged a bit (around €450/night) for the suite on the top floor-room 601 and the only room on that floor. The room had a large living room, separate bedroom with comfortable king bed, massive bathroom and our own private patio overlooking fort St Elmo and the grand harbor. Even in late April when the sun popped out it was glorious to spend a little time basking in the sunshine from our south-facing patio. Our room was accessed only with a special key in the elevator. Our gracious host, George, made sure we were well looked after and helped us get settled. He is a great guy and provided good information to make our visit to Valletta special. His brother, Vlado works the night shift too.

Breakfast was included with our room and the ample buffet (beginning at 7) had everything one could want from fruit yogurt and cereal to meats, cheeses, breads, sweets and more. Excellent.

I’d definitely stay here again given the modern comforts, great breakfast and superb personal service from George and Vlado.

Highly recommended

Can anyone please tell me if the pool will still be open in October? Thanks
Answer from 66SaintPauls
Valletta, Malta
Dear Lynda_cb5197, Thank you for inquiring, Since the pool is an outside pool, it depends on the weather conditions. However in October the weather is fairly good. We have at heart the safety of our guests, so this will solely depend on the weather conditions. The pool is a relaxing added touch to our property. The view is impeccable and it overlooks the stunning 3 cities fortified walls. Have a lovely day. Kindest Regards, @ Team 66 Saint Paul's - Isabelle
