Stayed here with my wife for a week and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Location is right in the heart of Valletta and walking distance to many good restaurants and bars. Mark the owner gave really good advice on what to do while we stayed and the best way to enjoy the activities and was really approachable if we needed anything. Our room was spotlessly clean and remained so throughout our stay and the buffet breakfast was always a good start to the day. Would definitely return if and when we return for another visit to Malta!!

A clear winner for a perfect boutique hotel in Valletta on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Main Square and top sights, shopping and restaurants. The hotel owner (Mark) and the rest of his staff were especially helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I arrived at The Barrister Hotel seeking accommodation for a week, commencing same day! This was due to an unfortunate booking at another property. Emma Gauci at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful and assisted me with patience and empathy. While she was not able to accommodate me for the duration, she was able to find availability and book at 2 other hotels. This was a shining example of going above and beyond. Emma and Mark were my saviours in an unplanned stressful situation. I am eternally grateful for all that they did during my stay. A delightful family business. Boutique yet quirky in an excellent location.

Great hotel and tremendous hosts. Situated in the centre of Valletta, but away from the hustle and bustle. The room was really nice had everything you could want. Marc was really knowledgeable and always gave great suggestions. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Mark and his team went above and beyond, assisting us and guiding us across our way in Malta. The hotel was nice, good sized rooms, all the amenities needed were there. We had a balcony with a nice view. I definitely recommend The Barrister Hotel for Valleta.

Absolutely amazing place! The hotel is great! Everyone who's working there has been extremely helpful and friendly. The Barrister hotel is situated in the center of Valletta but still it wasn't loud. Breakfast was delicious ( we had it delivered to our room every morning) and the room was comfortable, spacious and has been equipped in everything one needs for a comfortable stay. We even found a sewing kit and toothbrushes with toothpaste. Mark, the owner, has been very helpful in every situation and there was a lovely family atmosphere in the Barrister hotel. We booked a room with a hot tub on a terrace and the views were... breathtaking all day long and at night! Plenty of restaurants and bars just around the corner and just a few minutes walk to all the best landmarks in Valletta. We will definitely come back and we 100% recommend this unique and friendly place. Thank you so much for having us!…

Fabulous and perfectly located Hotel with extremely knowledgeable and helpful owner, Mark. We had a wonderful 5 nights stay at Mark’s super pleasant and ideally located smaller luxury hotel. We are experienced traveller and benefitted a lot from Mark’s well justified and carefully selected advice and recommendations.

I have to say, I booked this trip to Malta, Valetta at the last minute but what a find, this hotel is really so well situated for all the key sights nearly all within 10 mins or less. There’s an ATM close by. Mark the owner as a family business, local was there in time breakfast. When checked in which was very late it was all organised and took just a moment. I had phoned ahead say I would arrive late but the desk is open 24/7. Local sighting bus tours and trips to the blue lagoon and Gozo etc can be booked outside the entrance to St Elmo Fort 5 mins walk from the hotel. The views of the harbour from it are wonderful. There’s a a really nice cafeteria next to it and it has a great track out the back with great views of the sea and very reasonably priced. I took lunch here. The fort will take you at least 2 hours. The Barrister well named as your in the Courts, Advocate location in Valetta. The hotel is very maintained and it’s small but upmarket my room 11 as a solo traveller was comfortable spotlessly clean, a juice crisp minibar Breakfast was 730am until 10am, 11am checkout. I actually leave tomorrow but I can’t say enough about Mark and his hotel. Breakfast continental style but plenty of choice and all the staff I met where extremely friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. If need to know anything about vista just ask Mark, he had every base covered. My room was quiet and well situate a short climb up a few stairs or you can take the lift. What can I already even before I leave tomorrow, 20 out of 10 Mark, what great place you have. Thanks for a great stay. If I come back I know where I’ll be staying again !!!…

My husband and I loved this hotel! It was very clean and a great location. I stayed in Barrister Hotel from 28 June until 6 July, 2023. My friend and myself we had an amazing time in this small boutique hotel. The staff is amazing, they looked after us every day. But more than anything, the manager of the hotel, who is also the Owner, was very accommodating and always engaging with everyone staying in the hotel. The personal touch of the staff and the manager at this place is what makes a big difference in hospitality industry. We both felt that we are home. Also the location of the hotel is very good, in the centre of the old city, walking distance from all the attractions. This was an amazing vacation for both of us, especially for me, as I celebrated my 50th birthday! And guess what! They sent me a bottle of champagne in the room and a nice card!
