Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the rooftop suite. The suite itself was well laid out with everything one would expect. The suite also has exclusive access to a huge outdoor area overlooking Valletta and Sliema and featuring a large hot tub. The weather was too cold during our visit to make use of the rest of the rooftop, but the hot tub was perfect even in winter. There was also a small balcony with partially obstructed views in the opposite direction overlooking St John's Co-Cathedral, which is right behind the hotel. Some of the fixtures (e.g. taps, bathroom hooks, tiles) were damaged or broken and needed some upkeep, but this didn’t impact on our stay. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and the staff very friendly. The location was perfect, but Valletta is a tiny city and anywhere within the city walls would be equally perfect.

It’s not 4 rating but not a 3 either . Somewhere in the middle Rooms are good but what Ever you do get a high floor We were on the first floor and it was not good the out side noise horrendous especially in morning with deliveries We use stairs and they have garbage in basement at bottom the smell coming up the stairs is bad . The breakfast is adequate and the location is good . You do have to drag your bags to the hotel from the Phoenician about 7 min walk away if after 9.30am as they close off the streets Staff where helpful always All in all it’s good but some areas can improve

Palazzo Rosaria is a lovely boutique hotel in a very convenient location for exploring Valetta on foot. It is also close to the main bus station for inexpensive travel to all parts of the island. You should note that taxis cannot pull up outside the hotel. The breakfast supplied was quite good for a hotel of 21 rooms. The usual fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats, hot drinks, cooked options and pastries: all of acceptable quality apart from the machine made coffee. However the breakfast was made available in a very cramped corner beside the lift on the ground floor into which they squeezed small tables which are very close together. This really should be expanded into the adjoining lounge area. We stayed in September 2023 in room 601 on the top floor which has a very spacious terrace with furniture and a hot tub. The room itself was well decorated with plenty of space and a good shower room as shown in hotel photos. Unfortunately there were no drawers in the room or en-suite. Not just no freestanding drawers but no drawers in the bedside tables and no drawers in the desk. I mentioned this to the receptionist and she told me all the rooms were designed like that. She suggested that I removed the spare blanket from the wardrobe shelf and use that, which we had already done. It's annoying that there was plenty of room for drawers in the room, just none available. I see this has been mentioned in a previous review and nothing has been done. We also found that right outside room 601 is the lift machinery which gives out loud clicks and bangs which are clearly heard from the bed just the other side of the door whenever the lift is used on any floor. Usually it went quiet about 11pm, but started up again around 6am perhaps when staff arrive. The staff were all friendly and helpful though they seem to rotate frequently.

Would thoroughly recommend this boutique hotel to all. Location is right in the heart of Valletta surrounded by bars and restaurants. Staff were welcoming upon our late arrival recommending some fabulous restaurants nearby. Breakfast was plentiful and a great pastry shop across the way.

A fabulous location and beautifully decorated. What little service we required was exemplary. We were in the suite and the accommodation and views were amazing, as was the jacuzzi hot tub on our terrace. Breakfast was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely return.

The location of the hotel is terrific (right in the old town, just a block and a half from St John’s Co-Cathedral) and the buffet breakfast, which is included, is delicious. The best thing about the hotel, though, is the level of customer service. Management went above and beyond when there was a last-minute booking glitch to resolve the problem and turn what could have been an unhappy stay into a very happy one!

Myself and my wife had a great stay at the Palazzo Rosario Boutique Hotel. It’s right in the middle of Valletta just by the St John’s Cathedral and near by the Castile roundabout and square where you can get taxis to other parts of the island. Great breakfast and friendly staff, I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Valletta. Every single staff member was kind, polite and helpful. Water pressure and temperature perfect, nice firm bed and pillows, clean and well equipped. Great breakfast included and modern decor. Just an overall excellent experience. Cathy & Jason Darmanin, August-September 2022
