We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Embassy. A very special thank you to Lisa the manager and Maja on reception who were extremely welcoming and made our stay absolutely perfect. The hotel design is amazing, rooms are modern and fully equipped, the bed are extremely comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and altogether the rooms are very quiet as you cannot hear any adjoining rooms or bathroom noises. We were staying on the 5th floor and had a double level balcony which was great. The roof top swimming pool is great to have and we enjoyed a dip later in the afternoon returning from trips. We always had a sunbed. The hotel is in a central location in a pedestrian zone, in the middle of the lively atmosphere and a few minutes walks from shops, restaurants and transport links. Live music in town plays until 11pm so thereafter the quiet returns to enable a good night sleep. We would definitely return to the Embassy as we truly enjoyed our stay there.

I had a five night stay at The Embassy Hotel with my Mum and my sister, we have been visiting Malta for many, many years but this was our first time staying in Valletta. The hotel is gorgeously decorated but as others have mentioned the rooms are very dark. We had booked a room with a terrace and imagined it would go straight from the room, but actually the view from the room was a brick wall and the stairs up to the higher part of the terrace. No big problem as it wasn't particularly sunny during our stay.
Valletta itself has changed beyond recognition - in years gone by the city closed down as soon as it got dark but now it's a buzzing, vibrant capital with amazing bars, restaurants and live music.
The rooftop pool is the Embassy's selling point and it was lovely to have breakfast there every day, it was well organised and really the restaurant team were brilliant - Lucia, Igor, Diego and others whose names I don't know. Nothing was too much trouble for us and it's obvious they enjoy working together as a team.
The only place we felt really needed a bit of improvement was housekeeping, as others have mentioned. We had to ask every day for more teabags and milk, and despite us leaving our towels hanging up which meant we were happy to use them again, they were taken and replaced every day! Why leave a sign in the bathroom saying leave your towels hanging up to help the environment if housekeeping don't seem to be aware of how it works?!
Yilmaz and Maja on reception were also lovely and we hope to return; despite the housekeeping niggles we had a wonderful stay.

This hotel appears to have been recently rebuilt or refurbished so all the indoor areas are very modern and up to date, which is a bonus in the centre of a very old city. The rooftop restaurant and pool area are brilliant with fabulous views across the city.

All the staff were very friendly, cleanliness was good and the rooftop breakfast was very nice.

However, we had booked a "Superior Suite with Sea View and Hot Tub" which we were told on check-in was the only one in the hotel and the best room in the hotel. This may be true but it was disappointing. First of all I don't see how they justify it being called a suite because it was just a double room and not a very big one at that. 11sq ft more than a standard double and 11 sq ft less than a deluxe double and considerably more expensive than both. Presumably the cost difference is justified by the hot tub but that turned out to be small and not very hot.

As for the sea view, there was no view from the room. There were double doors leading to a path with a high brick wall where you had to climb some stairs to get to a narrow balcony and then you could view the city with the sea in the distance. The hot tub was also squeezed into this narrow balcony.

We booked a triple deluxe room at the new Embassy Hotel for Christmas Eve. At 153 euros a night it was more expensive than some of the 5 star hotels. Being about 30 euros dearer than the standard room at the same hotel, the room we chose promised a Seaview and free drinks from the minibar. The 'Seaview' turned out to be a glimpse of the sea behind people's rooftops and the minibar was totally bare. Being a triple room I wonder where they would have put the third bed if we had requested it. When we went to the floor designated for the fitness center, we found paint buckets and wooden planks lying about. We thought that we were at the wrong floor but when we asked the receptionist she informed us that fitness center and spa are not yet ready. I feel that this is something that we should have been informed about as this is something we paid for.

The rooftop pool although heated is open-air so in December it is not very tempting; not to mention that the entire pool is in the middle of the rooftop restaurant - there is no separate pool area, so I personally wouldn't have felt comfortable undressing and diving in even if weather conditions were favorable.

After voicing my disappointments I cannot not mention the positive facts. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and well equipped (apart from the empty minibar), and breakfast was divine. Location is right in the heart of Valletta, with a countless choice of bars and restaurants nearby.

Dear Many, thank you for being one of our very first guests and for your review. Thank you also for praising our hardworking employees, our sumptuous breakfast and the unique hotel location. Our sea view rooms boast a unique view of the Marsamxett Harbour, the Carmelite church dome and Manuel Island. We are sorry if this was not what you expected. We are also sorry that you did not receive the complimentary minibar package. It was a genuine oversight from our end and it is a pity that we were not made aware of this on the day as this could have easily been rectified. The panoramic heated pool is indeed outdoors and provides a unique experience. We had quite a few guests who were able to enjoy a winter swim. Our fitness room will be available by the end of January. As far as we are aware this is clearly stated in all our advertising and hotel descriptions. Kindly let us know if you believe we have misled you in any way. Should you wish to discuss these matters further, kindly send me your contact details as I will gladly speak to you personally. Best wishes for the New Year, Hubert Debono hdebono@embassy.com.mt

My mother & I recently made a 3 day trip to beautiful Valletta in Malta and are so glad we decided to stay at The Embassy Hotel.

As the trip was for my birthday and I was booking two bedrooms for my mother & I, we wanted it to be really special. The Embassy was perfect in every respect. Paolo, Maja and Yilmaz were so helpful on email in advance with helping us choose the best available rooms. The room I booked in the end - 605 was incredible. Stunning views over Valletta's historic rooftops and out to sea. The room was massive with two balconies (suitable for standing and getting two chairs on) and I loved admiring the views. The bed was also huge and super comfortable. Everything was extremely stylish and very clean - important during these Covid times. Housekeeping did an incredible job keeping the rooms and public areas spotlessly clean. As it was my birthday, the chocolates and balloons in the room were a really nice touch! I would definitely recommend Floor 6 for the views, especially in the colder months. Floor 5 has larger terraces but the views are better from 6. My mother was very happy with her room too.

I can honestly say that I have never met such friendly, helpful staff. Everyone was so lovely and had a smile on their face. As I am a vegan, Lucia at breakfast was such a star and made sure I had items cooked separately and also offered vegan items such as falafels (which were delicious) and vegan burger & nuggets. There was also soya milk, plus mushrooms, beans, potatoes, veg, fruits, seeds, breads, cereals so perfect for my needs.

The views from the rooftop where breakfast was served were incredible - probably the best views in Valletta! As it was quite cold and not that sunny, we didn't make use of the swimming pool, although as it was heated to 28 degrees, some other people in the hotel seemed to enjoy it. We loved the view at the top for sunset with our lovely welcome drink though!

Elisa was also extremely helpful with local tips and assisting my mother when she had a question about the room. Maja or Yilmaz were on reception during the day and also so helpful and friendly. Graham in the evening was always a cheerful, welcome face. But every member of staff was brilliant.

The location of The Embassy is ideal for exploring Valletta and we didn't hear much noise at all. The night we arrived there were people drinking in the nearby bar until around 11pm but we couldn't really hear them from the room and it was silent every other night.

Due to Covid and staffing issues, quite a few places we had planned on visiting in Valletta either weren't open at all or had limited opening hours, so check via phone, email or Facebook as we found online opening hours to often not be accurate. Hopefully this will settle down soon as Valletta is definitely a wonderful city to explore.

I look forward to returning to The Embassy again and would definitely recommend this special hotel.

Thanks for making our trip so perfect!

It was a true pleasure to stay at The Embassy Valletta Hotel. All the little luxuries were thought of and the staff is very hospitable. The breakfast was delightful (views are amazing too!) as are the interiors, decor, and everything else.
We went for a little break without the kiddos and it was awesome to be situated right in the centre of the city, surrounded by so many great restaurants. We could wine and dine and not have to worry about getting home :-)

Would love to return in warmer weather so I can experience the rooftop infinity pool, which is heated.

As a solo traveler, location and security of a hotel are very important to me. The Embassy is located in the heart of Valletta close to absolutely everything. From the moment I walked through the doors to check in, the staff was friendly and helpful. I stayed on the 6th floor with a city view and the room was spacious and had plenty of closet space. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good pressure. They had a reverse osmosis water machine on each floor so I would fill up the provided carafe daily and keep fresh water in my room and also fill up my water bottle each morning before I left to explore for the day. The front helped reserve a massage and facial which was priced well and wonderful. When I asked about ferry and bus locations, the front desk provided a map and directions and suggestions of places to see. The restaurant and bar staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and fresh each morning. They mixed up the hot items so that it wasn’t the exact same choices each day. The potatoes at gratin were beyond delicious and I’m still think8ng about them LOL. Each night I would head upstairs for a cocktail and after day one, I didn’t need to ask as they knew what I was drinking. Since the days were warm during my visit I didn’t always like a heavy meal and they offered a delicious steak salad that was just perfect. I actually had it a few times during my visit. The manager would go table to table checking on the patrons each night and engaging in light conversation, which I really like as it gives a more “personal” touch to your visit. They also arranged a cab service back to the airport which you could either pay on your room bill or cash to the driver. Since the entrance isn’t on a through street, the cab picks you up down the street and a member of the staff walked me and my luggage to the pick up spot. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking to explore the beautiful islands of Malta.

Without any doubt Embassy Hotel is one of the best hotels in Valletta. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by one of your staff members who was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very stylish equipped with all necessities. We appreciated the complimentary welcome sweets and beverages as well as for the Birthday card which had shown attention to client’s details. All respect goes to the all the team and client who did a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality. As for breakfast, food was delicious and nicely presented. Service was good as well with friendly waiters.

I am writing this at gone 2am on a Saturday night because these rooms are not sound proofed. I totally understand that I am staying in a city center and that 'some noise' would be understandable. However, they do not explain to you when checking in that all the bars that are within a 10m distance of the hotel will be open until at least 1am. That until 11pm there will be someone singing badly through a microphone that means you will not be able to relax and watch tv in your room.
Not only do you have all the customers and music, but then you have all the tidying up... the smashing of bottles and scraping of furniture as the bars start to close down.
I imagine at about 3am it might get quiet and might get some sleep.
It's disgraceful that they charge over €100 for a room that they know guests will struggle to sleep in.
I read the reviews I knew there would be some noise but nothing like this. The night manager was very sympathetic when we went down at 10pm to ask about changing rooms but obviously fully booked and he understood that we were 'on holiday and wanted to rest and relax'. I can't imagine we aren't the first to complain and I doubt we will be the last. During the week I'm sure the sound proofing is enough but avoid this hotel at all costs at the weekend if you want to sleep.

Arrived at midnight - the hotel ordered cap never showers, as it turned out the hotel never booked it, inspite my confirmation
Housekeeping was terrible, and even lied about why they “forgot” to clean our room.
Poorly managed steating at breakfast. 2 persons occupied 4 persons table inspite of fee 2 person rables. Families had to wait.
The staff was not consistent in reminding people to wear their mask.

However. The hotel had a fantastic location. The pool area was super beautiful overlooking the city.
The reception staff. Especially this Girl from Poland, was so serviceminded and helpful.
Breakfast might have been uncoordinated but the food was great.
The room was really nice and We had very little noise.
