We stayed in this hotel first a birthday celebration. The hotel is magical and the staff can not do enough for you. I already want to go back!

The location and facilities are excellent, the only hotel you should be staying in in Valetta .

The gym is great, and the spa is beautiful. The spa staff are so nice and the pool is super relaxing.

We recently stayed at the Iniala Harbour House Hotel in Valletta, to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. The location of the hotel is perfect, overlooking the Grand Harbour and with the most incredible views of Malta’s historical past, views of Fort St. Angelo and the Three Cities.

The hotel is made up of a number of old reformed properties, positioned along the tree lined sea front. The traditional Maltese balconies are painted the most beautiful colour of blue, which is a stunning contrast to the old Maltese stone.

The hotel has been elegantly restored, showcasing an original grand staircase, a magnificent ceiling painting, and one of the highlights of the design aspect of the hotel is the bar, a beautifully designed wooden structure, exquisitely accentuating the original old stone arch.

What I really loved about staying at Iniala was how at home I felt. This five star luxury hotel has still managed to capture a very strong personal touch here. The bedrooms are very tastefully designed, with underfloor heating and I had an early morning soak in the Victoria & Albert bath whilst looking out over the harbour, as the sun shone through the French windows. Pure heaven.

Dinner was a wonderful fine dining experience. We had an extraordinary four course meal which was truly a tasting sensation. Boban, who was our butler-style waiter for the evening helped to make this dining experience even more memorable. He is an absolute gentleman and the perfect dinner host.

The breakfast the following morning at Iniala was one of the highlights for me. This extensive breakfast menu offers traditional breakfasts from around the world. My two favourites on the menu are “The Full Brexit’ full English breakfast and a bacon and egg butty. This was such a pleasant surprise for me, myself being from the north of England, and it put a big smile on my face.

Daring to be different is what is remembered, and this hotel delivers this. It’s a five star luxury experience but with a difference for sure.

Thank you to all the staff at Iniala, who made our stay very special, and a very big thank you to Danny the manager, for making sure that our stay at Iniala was one to be remembered.

We stayed at the Junior Suite
The room is perfect!
Bed is super large and comfortable there is a spacious walk-in closet an amazing bathroom with his and hers shower heads
Everything is top of the line
When arriving late at night we had a bottle of champagne and snacks waiting for us which was an amazing welcoming gesture
Staff was super friendly and the hotel restaurant where we had breakfast every day is a Michelin start rated establishment.
Location was excellent and we simply walked out to the streets of Valletta every day.
Rooms are very isolated and quiet.
Bottom line: must visit

We booked a 3 night stay here in December as a side trip from Paris and Lyon. When we arrived, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful - the concierge answered all our questions and recommended several nearby restaurants and activities. The room was beautiful and spacious, with a gorgeous wooden soaking tub that felt amazing after a slightly chilly evening walking around by the water. The first night we had dinner at Ion, the hotel restaurant (Michelin-starred) and it was a wonderful experience. The next morning, we were able to have breakfast there as well (very reasonably priced) - I had the syrniki (a type of pancake) with berry sauce which were amazing. The pool and spa were beautiful and peaceful, although we didn’t end up using them. The location is very central and easy to get to the ferry for Gozo or the three cities, as well as the Valleta city center.

Go ahead and treat yourself. Iniala won't disappoint.
Lock yourself up in your room and be decadent. Sleep in luxurious monogrammed crisp linen. Lounge on your perfectly stylish sofa and enjoy the smell of freshly cut florals. Make yourself a coffee as you catch up on your reading whilst looking out at views of the Grand Harbour ( Unesco World Heritage Site). Let the taps flow as you soak in the luxury freestanding bath or just walk into the palatial shower and wash your troubles away. This place is truly a reset button. A mix of old and new. A blend of style and functionality. Add incredibly attentive and pleasant staff. Top that even further with a michelin-star-worthy restaurant on the top floor and you have it. You have it all....the Iniala Experience. I'm a convert. I'll definitely be back.

The experience begins from the minute one drives through the road of St. Barbara Bastions with quaint old houses on one side, olive trees and the spectacular grand harbour on the other side. The Iniala sits at the end of this road with it's picturesque blue painted traditional Maltese balconies and it's doors open ready to greet it's guests.
Stepping into the building one immediately realizes that it has been meticulously converted and restored with a blend of old and new. Wooden features to enhance the beautiful arched ceilings, frescos restored and very friendly staff. Our room was lovely with a window on either side allowing plenty of natural light to enter, while framing the magnificent harbour view. Spacious, high ceilings and soft natural colour tones complete the room ambience.
Last but not least is the fantastic roof terrace and restaurant. A sunset drink is definitely a must with possibly the best view on the island followed by a lovely dinner with a great team of staff. We were also lucky to experience brunch, a lovely diverse number of original tapas and dishes all done to perfection.
What more can I say…I look forward to my next stay at the Iniala Harbour Hotel.

Firstly, the location is perfect, with beautiful views and plenty of restaurants just a few steps away. The building architecture matches the traditional architecture you see in Valletta, then you walk into Iniala and step into a comfortable bubble. The furnishings and fittings are to a high standard, yet warm. The attention to detail - in all areas - is quite inspirational. I struggle to call Iniala a hotel. It feels more like a luxurious, cosy home.

What makes Iniala extra special is the people. The team at Iniala is unmatched. I would like to give a particular thank you to the Butler and Housekeeping teams and the team that manages breakfasts. Two strong women in Housekeeping set up my sofa bed for me without fail every evening. Thank You. The team that managed breakfast every morning, kept my mum feeling very comfortable and looked after whenever she went for breakfast alone (I'm not a huge breakfast person). Thank You. From our welcome treat on our first day to the birthday message and treat before leaving, every day felt special.

I'm nitpicking here, but the one element that could be better is the front desk once you're a guest. On one occasion I made a request and it was forgotten, on another occasion one person sitting with the main person at front desk asked if I was a guest despite me having my card in my hand and the main person at front desk trying to tell her we were guests. Perhaps this happened because we don't look like the usual clientele. Mistakes happen so not too bothered but still something that stuck with me. Hopefully mentioning this will mean this doesn't happen to someone else. There was one person who stood out at the front desk, and I believe her name is Kriza. She welcomed us on our fast day, and made an excellent impression. Took her time to take us on a tour of the building and facilities, giving an excellent explanation of the building, history of Iniala, owner, etc. Very polite and responsive. Also the gentleman at the desk the night we were leaving was very helpful.

Thank you to everyone at Iniala. You have left an amazing impression. I hope to visit again.

The best boutique hotel we have stayed, period! This jewel is set perfectly above the Grand Harbour offering stunning views of the super yachts, sail boats and ships. It’s 6 Star Staff which are highly trained in the Four Seasons/Ritz model, pamper you from the minute you arrive. Our rooms were part of the Town House and had wonderful balconies and roof top views, which we enjoyed every night, so much so, that we elected to cancel reservations at a restaurant to have room service on the rooftop. The rooms are perfectly decorated and designed to take advantage of every square inch. The breakfast is presented in their rooftop Michelin Restaurant, with the best Eggs Benedict we have ever had anywhere. Skip lunch if you need to, but don’t miss their breakfast. We unfortunately did not get a chance to enjoy their gorgeous spa facilities, but will next time.

On arrival we were greeted with champagne in a stunning bar beautifully decorated and furnished in the hotels unique style.
We were escorted to our rooms passing unique and breathtaking artworks on the way the architecture of the internal building was breathtaking. Our room was luxurious, a huge bathroom massive shower beautiful bath and superb toiletries. We had an enormous bed, a separate changing room and again the decor was simply perfect.
We ate in the hotel restaurant fine dining at its best it was the most fantastic food delicious superbly presented the waiting staff just perfection as was the food it was a life time experience for us such a treat and we enjoyed every moment of it. Excellence at its best. Our breakfast experience continued as the Sun was shining and we sat on the terrace in the sunshine enjoying eggs croissants & superb service.
The Christmas tree was breathtaking and everywhere you looked was beautiful including the views over the grand harbour that were actually breathtaking on arrival and at breakfast.
This hotel was an experience and we will never forget it - even the hotels logo blew your mind as the hotel is enveloped in golden angel wings utterly stunning.

What a fantastic hotel, an absolute breath of fresh air. Everything about the hotel screams quality. The reservation staff were polite and efficient, they blocked off various rooms, to show us and to choose from, when i arrived. I was staying only one night, so chose the cheaper city view - the harbour view definitely the better view. But all the rooms are stunning, and huge, each with their own particular style, the decor is exceptional, the art, the furniture, the finish - you only need look at the door handles furniture and wood work to realise no expense has been spared. The restaurant, with stunning views over Grand harbour is absolutely amazing, and the food out of this world! Nothing is too much trouble - they even made me food to eat on my flight home. Definitely the best Ive seen in Malta and i hope it raises the bar for new hotels on the island.
