Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful boutique hotel in central Valletta (but away from the noisy bars etc). The room was excellent and the staff very helpful, sincere and friendly. Breakfast was fresh continental fare and set you up for the day. Will stay here again. The control of the air conditioning was bizarre and would suggest a rethink in the programming.

The Palazzo Ignazio is located close to all major tourist attractions in Valletta and there are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. The room is a comfortable size and a modern layout. Breakfast has a lot of choice and the food is delicious and fresh. The staff (Elizabeth, Sylvia, Mary Grace and Romina) are super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure you had a wonderful time in this beautiful Country. Recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

This was one of the best small hotels we have stayed at anywhere. The staff including Silvia, Elisabete and the rest of the team were exceptionally good and welcoming. They could not do enough for us. The rooms were very well appointed , clean and a nice size. The bed was really nice and large. The cleanliness was very good too. Breakfast was of a good continental style and had enough variety and once again the service and staff were exceptionally good. The hotel is very well situated too, close to lots of restaurants and bars and historical attractions. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again.

It was a great experience. Stamena, our guest agent, has been in touch for all our questions and needs. The hotel location is really good, and the hotel facilities, including breakfast, are just what we needed. We had not any inconvenience during our stay.

Stylish, boutique hotel within easy walking distance of Valetta’s many tourist attractions and Gozo ferry port. Comfortable and spacious room - the balcony was a Maltese novelty! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Valetta has many fabulous churches and civic buildings but be prepared for hills and plenty of steps! Fast ferry to Gozo is definitely a great day trip as is visiting Mdina.

Room Tip: Parking would be tricky as much of Valetta is pedestrian access only.

Very nice boutique hotel in a good location in the old city, with nowhere more than 15 minutes walk away. A level walk to Upper Barraka, the bus station, the main square, Merchants Street (food and drink) and Republic Street (shopping). A great advantage in a city where a substantial minority of streets consist entirely of steps. Friendly, efficient staff, decent breakfast buffet, spotlessly clean throughout. Great views from the roof terrace. There is a bar on the terrace; it's only open in Summer, but you can take drinks and snacks up there at any time. A wide variety of restaurants within 5 minutes' walk. A really excellent base for a stay in Malta.

Excellent hotel with wonderful staff who really cared about our stay. Clean, bright rooms with very comfortable bed, a superb breakfast and the use of the spa, should we have had time to use it! Located within a couple of minutes' walk from the main pedestrian street and all attractions. Couldn't have asked for better.

We were looking forward to staying at the hotel to celebrate a special anniversary. The day before arrival we received an email asking our arrival time which we replied around 12.30pm. Upon arrival we were told our room would not be ready until 3pm which was fine so we went of to explore Valletta. We returned to be informed our room was still not ready. We waited yet again and were offered 10% discount. We were very fed up by now! When we eventually were taken to our room we quickly realised the hot tub we were looking forward to using was freezing cold. Apparently we had to wait another 50 mins!!!! We waited and it was still freezing cold!!! At this point it was late and we were so fed up at not being able to use the wonderful terrace and hot tub so we left and found another hotel. The customer service was awful and unhelpful. We come to Valletta a lot and would have stayed again. So very upset and disappointed.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of November and had a really good stay. We were upgraded to a bigger room which had a balcony which was really lovely. The room was huge, you could have had a party in it, many thanks to Martina who did that for us. The price included breakfast, which was really good. In terms of location it is excellent, literally minutes from the sights, restaurants etc. loved the roof terrace with its terrific views which was most welcome as it was really hot! We would definitely stay again.
