This is in a great location and if you’re lucky enough to get room 201, you’ll have views from both aspects of your interior verandah. Breakfast is fairly standard and there didn’t appear to be any use of the restaurant at other times. Staff are unfailingly polite and we were greeted very warmly by the charming young lady on reception when we showed up. You are right above the Victoria Arch and a short walk downhill to the ferry across to the three towns. Take a water taxi for a little more excitement. Just outside the hotel is a street with a typically steep flight of steps which has several lively bars and leads directly in a few minutes to one of the main squares. Admittedly it was off season but we got a great rate and would definitely recommend this place.

This is a great little hotel. The location is wonderful and we were able to access the roof on New Year’s Eve to see the fireworks going off. The breakfast was great and as an awkward veggie I felt well catered for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from our room wasn’t very good because the windows were too high up to see anything but were otherwise great. We hired a car and parking spaces were available outside the hotel.

Clean, very convenient for cafes , museums etc, in centre of valetta, don't need a car, however parking would be a problem if you did. Must be fit as there are lots of steps to navigate around the city, but well worth it. Small bar , did not have breakfast but it did not look inviting when there are so many local cafes that offer very reasonable pastries or breakfasts very near hotel. Excellent view of the harbour from the roof terrace

We booked to stay here in June 2020 but due to covid could not come and the hotel management was at all times help full as events and flights changed. In the end we came in June 2021 as despite Malta being on the Amber list in the uk the covid rates are much lower than at home.

The hotel has a wonder full position overlooking the grand harbour and our room gave us the view. The room was fully equipped and whilst not luxurious provided everything we needed. There is also a terrace on the roof with great views.Due to covid breakfast was not available when we stayed but we were advised it will be next month. We therefore went out for breakfast and meals. This is an uphill walk as Velletta is built on a hill.

The staff and management were vey helpfull at all times. I recommend people from the uk to go to Malta now.

The hotel is ideally situated overlooking the harbour and close to restaurants etc. We booked a room with a balcony (606) and were extremely happy with the view of the harbour and the Three cities.
The room itself was comfortable and had adequate storage for the four nights we spent here, there was an enclosed shower in the bathroom and plenty of hot water.
The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided.
Breakfast had an excellent choice, including bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, mushrooms & tomatoes, there was a choice of 2 cereals, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit, 3 juices, bread rolls, pastries, jams and a toaster, so plenty of choice to set you up for the day. Also there was a very good coffee machine.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and would help you with any query.
If you suffer from mobility issues, this may not be an ideal lication as there are steep steps up to the centre where all the shops/restaurants are.
Overall, I found this to be a well presented and value for money hotel and it's worth paying extra for the views.

We stayed for a week at this hotel and found it to be the perfect base for exploring Valletta and the islands. The fast ferry to Gozo and the ferry to the three cities are just a few minutes walk from the hotel and the bus station, is also within easy walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the hotel, spotlessly clean.
We had a standard room and in hindsight, should have paid for a more spacious superior room as we did find the shower room rather small and basic.
The roof terrace has amazing views of the harbour and during our stay, we often enjoyed watching the harbour at night and the fireworks.

As the name suggests the hotel overlooks the Grand Harbour and is located a ten minute walk from the city gates and bus station. Our fifth-floor room was of adequate size, comfortably furnished and with all necessary facilities. Reception staff were cheerful, friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast provided an excellent choice of hot options, including sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and scrambled eggs, together with a range of fruits, breads, cold meats and pastries. All considered, the room price represented decent value for money.

Many cafes and restaurants, along with the visitor attractions and facilities of this intriguing city, are within easy reach of the hotel, although you can't escape the steps and gradients! Given that Valletta bus station is the island hub for its extensive bus service, those who wish to visit many areas of the island should consider staying here rather than in the outlying resorts.

Visited end of June 2022, had one of the two rooms with private terrace.

Taxi from airport was only 17euro to front of hotel.

The staff at the hotel were brilliant, from checking us in, booking taxi's, to serving breakfast.

The rooms were fine for what we needed, plenty of sockets (many of which were UK standard so no need for an adaptor). came with a safe, iron, ironing board etc. The aircon was fantastic, it was very warm while we were in Malta so the aircon provided much needed cool air. The small private terrace didn't face directly over the habour, but side on. It was nice though in the evening though just sitting out looking over the city and habour. There was also a lift which went to all floors with rooms (from what I could see the roof top terrace was only accessible via stairs).

It is really well located, just a short walk and you are into the centre of the city, similarly its a short walk to the main bus stop, main gate, Upper Barrakka gardens etc.

Would highly suggest anyone visiting to consider this hotel. The only thing which could be improved would have been given the heat to have had a small fridge in the room to keep cold water.

A good base for our stay in Valletta, right above Victoria Gate and a short walk to the water taxis and the ferry to Threee Cities. We were on the sixth floor and had a small private terrace but the best view is from the roof terrace one floor up.Room was clean and adequate. We had breakfast here which was adequate (scrambled egg, tomatoes, bacon, toast, yoghurt, some fruit and pastries. Coffee machine) but would probably opt to go out to local cafes if we came later in the year in warmer weather.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay here

all the staff were very friendly and helpful. location is great for bus station, tourist attractions around Valletta and restaurants. be aware that there are many steps to climb from the hotel to anywhere but well worth it. the room 601 top floor with views of the harbour and 3 cities and side windows view of the city. large room with twin beds, comfortable, and 2 armchairs to look at the wonderful views. good size bathroom with good shower. breakfast was good with both hot (and was) cold choices. all areas were clean and tidy. nice bar but not try.
roof terrace was good with plenty of loungers. not needed with the room we had.
hope to be back and would not hesitate to stay here again for a 3rd time. a joy everytime.

Thanks. We don’t want the terrace rooms. Just a Grand Harbour View and balcony on a high floor. Do you have anything like that. Thanks. Suzanne

Can highly recommend this hotel. As another person has mentioned, there was an irregular banging noise at night, which the staff said was something electrical - we were on the top floor - not sure if it could be heard on other floors. Apart from that the hotel staff were great, the views were fantastic, breakfast had a lot of hot and cold choices and it is well located to the main part of town.
