Just back from a week in Valletta staying in Lloyd House suite1. The suite is located 3 minutes walk to the old town bars and restaurants and also a nice stroll along the water to the lower Barrakka Garden. Its one floor up, directly facing the Upper Barrakka Gardens which was lovely at night and in the morning; it has a narrow side- view down to the Grand Harbour. Suite1 has a maltese(enclosed) balcony which was nice to sit in for drinks.You get 2 large rooms(lounge/kitchenette,bedroom) plus a shower room. Lots of character: ornately painted ceilings, colourful floor tiles, old paintings on walls. The owner and his wife were both very friendly and helpful; they recommended restaurants/shops and arranged taxi's to and from the airport/flat (20euros each way). When we arrived there was a bottle of wine in the fridge and beer; plus a fruit basket and bread - so all very good as we didnt have to go out and find a shop straight away. Would stay there again - and also Valletta itself is very beautiful, loads of interesting statutes & buildings, felt very safe&clean, streets& squares were smooth marble/stone. Last thing: weather was perfect, sunny and 24 degrees in mid November.…

We had a wonderful experience staying at Lloyd House. Robert is an amazing host - friendly and accommodating. The house has been restored very authentically but with modern comforts. Suite One was just beautiful with fantastic views. Location is close to many main attractions and restaurants.

This apartment is in a great location to everything in Valetta and the harbor to get to the other island and three cities. Robert is a wonderful host and we will definitely be back for another visit and to enjoy more of Malta.

The suite are beautiful and with the best view of Valletta Harbour, apartment furnish with all you can need and with a surprise welcome of bottle of wine. Robert and Mary make you fell warm welcome and help you with everything you need for your journey in Malta. Best of Valletta.

Fantastic, clean & well equipped apartment in a perfect central location, with the most stunning views over Valletta from the Maltese balcony (we stayed in Studio 3). Robert & Mary were the perfect hosts, providing lots of useful information about the best places to eat etc (La Sfoglia & 59 Republic were 2 of our favourites) & went above & beyond to help. Would highly recommend staying here as the ideal place to explore the beautiful city. Definitely hope to return here again one day

We stayed in this apartment as a couple and it was great for the two of us. It was the perfect location overlooking the upper Barakka gardens and the 3 cities and comfortably within walking distance of all of the incredible restaurants and attractions which Valletta has to offer. Robert and Mary are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The house is beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I'll return to Malta, and I'll want to stay again at Lloyd House. Thank you, Robert, for your help and hospitality. I so appreciate your arranging transportation from and to the airport. I hope to see you, Mary, and Duke again!

As a frequent traveller to Malta, I consider Lloyd House my home away from home. The owners, Robert and Mary are very welcoming, friendly and helpful and always take great care to ensure that I have everything I need. The house is beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I particularly like the attention given to preserving the original tiled floors and hand-painted ceilings. Lloyd house is in an excellent location with amazing views of the harbour, within walking distance of all the major Valletta attractions and the bus station, if your adventures, like mine, take you farther away. Robert is an excellent guide to the history of Malta, things to do, places to see, and how to get there. Truly looking forward to my next visit!

I often travel to Malta for business reasons and each time I am looking forward to staying at Lloyd House. It is perfectly situated close to the old town but quiet. It has a friendly, homey atmosphere. The owners couldn’t be more welcoming. The apartments are a great combination of history and modern amenities.

We have stayed many times at Lloyd House and can say that it is our favourite holiday destination Perfect in every way . We would not stay any where else The position is so central and the rooms so comfortable it is home from home

We stayed for 8 nights in Suite 3 in May (sorry it has taken this long to post a review!). The apartment is lovely and very comfortable, the views from the windows and balconies stunning. Mary and Robert were extremely friendly and helpful, with practical assistance with taxis, and great tips on things to see (thank you indeed for the tips on where and how to get tickets to the Hypogeum!). This was our first trip to Malta and we had a wonderful time. Thank you for your hospitality.
