The hotel is inside the castle in Famagusta city. It is 10 mins walk or 5 euro taxi ride. The trail is a paved path, so it is convenient to walk to the guest house from the central bus station in Famagusta if you have a small carryon. The guest house can also arrange a taxi. I paid 50 euro from Famagusta to Larnaca International Airport. The place is spotless and run by a grandma and her grandson. They are very friendly and hospitable. Grandma will undoubtedly remind you of your grandma there. Almost 90% of attractions are inside the castle, so everything (fashion stores, restaurants, supermarkets, and other attractions) is on walking distance. They will take you as a family member. It is a beautiful house. The only thing that can bother you is mosquitos there as they have a beautiful garden. Just take a bottle of bug spray with you and keep your window close. I honestly think they charge a small amount for the number of services they provide.

This is a unique family run place with a great breakfast. The family makes you feel at home and the location is close to the most popular places. Clean rooms, great attention and lots of great conversation!

This guest house and the family who run it are absolutely lovely. We spent 3 nights there recently with my elderly dad and were very well looked after. The rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Dad was made very welcome to relax under the lemon trees in their garden. Several good restaurants were only a short walk away and taxis were really reasonably priced. The family is really friendly and engaging.

This was our third visit and it will not be our last. Situated right in the old town with a lovely secluded garden it is perfect for those looking for comfortable accommodation run by a lovely family who make you very welcome. The rooms are a good size, a welcome addition is a kettle and mugs and there is also a fridge. The walk in showers are spacious and powerful. Breakfast in the garden makes a great start to the day and the homemade cakes delicious. If you are looking for a big corporate hotel this is not for you but if you want comfort, convenience and a warm welcome go you won't regret it

What a beautiful place to stay, the family were so freindly and they couldnt do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble, the room was very big and spotlessly clean, they even let us choose which room we wanted, the breakfast was amazing all freshly prepared and so much of it. I will definately visit them again. Would highly recomend this place if you are looking for traditional Cypriot stay this is the place to stay.

We stayed here on our first visit to the ancient city of Famagusta with friends and it was very much upon their recommendation and we were not disappointed. As other correspondence have reported, this is not a large glitzy five star affair with giant pools jacuzzies and international cuisine restaurant's what it does have in spades is personal charm and a very warm welcome. Named after the owner, this is her home and it is reflected in the cosy charm of the place, our room was upstairs reached by an outside staircase and adjacent to two other guest rooms. The bed comfy and WiFi provided. There was a colour tv which didn't pick up any signal, and the bathroom of a good size. The shower was good but one thing was that the clip to hold it was broken so it was more of a hand held hose affair. Breakfast consisted of multiple courses of figs, honey, bread, eggs, spiced sausage cheese and sliced ham. Tea and coffee and iced water was also served in the under a gazebo, all watched over by a large fluffy bunny hopping around

It depends on what is important to you and how you measure 5 star standard. This wasn't our first visit to Betul Guest House and our next 3 day visit in October is already booked. If you are looking for 5 star corporate standard then this probably isn't for you but if you are looking for a 5 star experience then look no further because the people here knock it out of the park. Let me qualify that by saying that the rooms are perfectly comfortable, a nice size and very comfortable beds. The showers are powerful, the place is clean and the aircon is perfect but you will not get marbled bathroom furniture or fine brass fittings. Get the idea? What you will get however is exceptional friendly service, a very warm welcome and a breakfast each morning that you have no right to expect at that price! This place really is a gem and located in the very centre of Famagusta old town. In summary: keep your fine brass fittings and give us this every single time.

It was a beautiful and unforgettable stay for me and my wife at this place. It is a clean and cozy place tucked away in the old city of Famagusta. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and took exceptional care of all guests.. Even in the peak of summer, it was comfortable to lazily have a drink in the gardens of the guest house. We wish we see more of these kind of family run businneses.

If your looking for no frills then this is the place for you, a wonderful family run hidden gem within the walls of Famagusta. Rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing is to much trouble for the owners and you are welcomed into their home like one of the family. Waking up after a great nights sleep to the amazing breakfast sets you up for a day of exploring. Believe me if you make this your first choice for accommodation in Famagusta you will not be disappointed.
