Chose this hotel in September 2022 and had a marvellous visit to the extent we immediately booked for October 2023 to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We requested the same room and this wish was granted and we received a bottle of bubbly on arrival along with congratulatory wishes for our anniversary. As previous all the staff were friendly and efficient at reception Zoe 1 + Zoe 2 and at the excellent breakfast Renata with her early morning smile and Klara the omelette wizard....thanks to all. Room was clean & comfortable...hotel areas spotless.....no poolside issues.....all in all a great return. Will be our go to place on next visit.

This was our second visit to the Avanti after a lovely holiday there in 2022. Hotel is in a great location, a little out of the centre of Paphos but with a good choice of excellent tavernas/restaurants/bars locally. Paphos harbour is only a 20/25 min walk along the promenade or road. The hotel staff are excellent and all very friendly. The room was cleaned everyday and had a lovely view over the pool area. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice so no two days were the same. The daily cocktail in the main bar was good value and a nice way to round off a day by the pool! (We didn't eat in the evening at the hotel so can't comment on that.) The pool area and pool bar was very clean with plenty of sunbeds and also had areas of shade from trees for those that prefer it. Overall we would highly recommend the Avanti and I'm sure we'll be back again!

Excellent hotel! Rooms spacious and pristine. Bed extremely comfortable. Pool area well kept, very clean with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Pool towels provided. One end of the pool was deep which I loved. Public areas all very comfortable, lots of seating available. Buffet restaurant with lots of choices, efficiently run by Renata and her team. Great variety of food with themed nights provided by Lakis and his team, delicious! Will return to this hotel again.

2 Adults travelled end of September. Hotel was good, to an acceptable standard, but as a very experienced traveller I would not rank this hotel as a four star. It hits the highs in a few places, but there were shortcomings which could be improved upon. This hotel is not beach front, but was a short walk to get to the beach. Be sure not to confuse this hotel with the Avanti village which is next door to this, and looked a bit more like a Butlins affair (the residents can swap between these two hotels to use amenities, but we didn’t speak to anyone who had done this). Plus points: Room was clean, and the cleaners were in every day and tidied up/changed sheets as required. The bed was very comfortable, and although the A.C wasn’t great it did manage to keep us cool enough when we needed it. Complimentary soap/shampoo replenished most days. Hairdryer was acceptable, although the cable was a bit too short to easily see in the mirror. Swim up pool bar made it easy to socialise Indoor pool available and games rooms/table tennis/ Spa looked in good shape (unused by us) Reception very knowledgeable about things to see/do in area, and had good maps/recommendations if you asked for them Cocktail of the day was ridiculously cheap 4.5 Eur and regular pool bar drinks were competitive too. Breakfast was OK, reasonable choice (e.g. there was an omelette station, fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt), but quality was not up there (Bacon was pretty grim). Very cheap onsite mini shop (for treats, water, wine etc) Location was on the limit of walking to the harbour/main hub in 32 degree heat (about 20 mins brisk walk), but the walk past the hotels on the beach front promenade was pleasant. If you go East along the promenade in the opposite direction, the hotel scenery gets nicer, and you end up at a little church. There are several places along the promenade where you can stop for coffee/drink Close to bus stop, and it’s a flat 1.5 Eur rate regardless of how many stops you are on the bus for. A taxi is 12 Eur to main Harbour area from hotel. We spoke to at least half a dozen couples who were there on a repeat visit, so they are definitely doing some things right. Minus points : A lot of walking sticks, zimmer frames and even mobility scooters. The average age was probably around 60, mainly Brits. We did try an evening meal (buffet) in the hotel using our 15 Eur per head voucher we received on check in, but it felt like eating in a school dinner hall. It was good enough food, but tables were separated by about a foot (you can’t have a private conversation, there was no background music) lighting was bright with overhead strip lights, small very busy buffet area - very unromantic and slightly awkward… Forget about getting half or full board here unless you are on a really tight budget. There are numerous good quality eateries and pubs around the area, and a 1.5 Eur bus trip will get you to Paphos harbour where you will be spoilt for meal choices. The pool was quite old, but had been done up at some point. Really let down by the crazy paving around the whole area (which is not easy to spot on the web photos) and gave it a very budget feel. However, there was always a space/deckchair available, even if it was not within sight of the pool. The tightly packed and ramshackle layout of deck chairs squeezed around the pool contributed to the budget feel. The pool was kept clean enough during our stay, despite the copious tree and grass debris in the area. Our bathroom had only 2 lights, and these were above the sink. The shower is inside the bath rather than a separate one and soap/shampoo was supplied. It was dark over the shower and W.C, which smelt a bit pissy (although we definitely saw housekeeping cleaning the bowl/floor area). Most of the available cocktails were very sweet/syrupy. There was a daily charge to get use of the room safe (2.5 Eur/day?). The beds did not have USB fittings or plugs at the bedside. Only place was at opposite side of the room, so phone chargers are out of reach for wake up alarms etc. The lighting in our bedroom was sparse and cold. There are no wall decorations. Pool towels could only be changed between 10am and 11 am. This might have been an attempt to prevent a run on deck chairs first thing in the morning, but most ‘chair baggers’ don’t actually use their chairs till later in the day anyway, so a wet towel from yesterday to lie out on is not a deterrent. Also towel station was unsupervised so you could take e.g 4 towels if you wanted. We had a friendly spider that lived in the hall above our door. We talked to it for a full week, so not sure how much cleaning these halls are getting. The staff were friendly and helpful and always seemed to be busy and I felt the whole place was close to getting a better review, but was let down due to low budget choices and tired areas. Overall I would recommend finding another place to stay, but you’ll need to spend more cash. I would recommend the Alexander the Great (much closer to the harbour) or the Olympic Lagoon which is across the road from the Avanti. This is based on aesthetics and atmosphere as we did not stay in these hotels (N.B you can see into most of the hotels/pools on the beach front, and one downside of the beach front hotels is your deck chairs often straddle the public walkway if you are slow off the mark in the morning!). For our week, the Avanti was at least £400 cheaper than these two, but we did only book 2 days before departure.

We just returned from this fab hotel on 29 October 2023. We twins had a wonderful time celebrating our 60th Birthday. The hotel was very kind to us, helping us to celebrate with bubbles and cake. The hotel is nipping clean. The food was amazing. The beds were so comfy. We would definitely return again. The staff are all lovely, particularly Renata in the dining room. She gives you a lovely warm welcome, works so hard, and is genuinely a lovely friendly lady. She goes above and beyond to make sure everything is spot on. Thank you so much Renata for your kindness.... we are missing you already. If you like cats, you'll love this hotel as there are lots of cats and kittens in the huge grounds that you see daily near the pool. Well done Avanti Hotel, for a fabulous stay. Many many thanks from...... Miss Nicola Ward xx

Nice all round family hotel that strives to please. Located 20 mins on foot from Paphos Harbour. Great breakfast which we were fortunate to eat outdoors. We tried the flexi dining and found it to be very good and of excellent value. Staff were polite and professional. The entertainment was low key which perhaps was intended or because it was end of the season. The daily cocktail offer was very popular and welcome. The animation around the pool area was really good with the aqua aerobics being well led. Beach and a stunning promenade walk into Paphos was within easy walking distance of the hotel.

We hsve enjoyed a lovely restful holiday staying at Avanti Hotel. The location was perfect for visiting local attractions like the Nea Paphos (Aphrodite's Sacred City) and of the Kato Paphos necropolis known as Tafoi ton Vasileon (“Tombs of the Kings”). It was also convenient to the coastal path and harbour area. The staff were both courtrous, friendly and very helpful. The kitchen served a varied and tasty quisine. Thsnk you to all at Avanti who made our stay both comfortable and pleasant.
