A pleasant stay in the heart of Andorra la Vella. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. The breakfast buffet was huge with many choices of dishes. The staff was very nice and so helpful. While have dinner at one of the nearby restaurants, my wallet was lifted from my inside zipped jacket pocket and all of my cash ($800) was taken as well as a credit card. The two lovely young ladies working the hotel reception were so kind and assisted us in every way; even offering to loan us some money from their purses, which we would not take. I sincerely thank them both! I’m glad we selected this hotel for our Andorra trip!

We stayed at this hotel for one night while we were visiting Andorra, the staff were extremely friendly and the hotel was perfect and the bar was lovely . I still can’t believe it was 4 euro for a big beer in a hotel compared with 7.50 in France. Great value for money and the room was very nice also.

Reception: Majority of staff were mostly courteous, however did not always greet upon arrival and did not always acknowledge you while you waited. Room / facilities: Room number 417 is on the 4 floor and is clean. It overlooks the city and has a road and views of the flowing from your balcony. The self control air conditioning is somewhat confusing to operate, but did the job. The room had a balcony with a door that opens fully enabling guests to go outside. The room has a bar fridge, safe, older style flat screen tv, euro style memory foam pillows, (that i found terrible and left me nursing a migraine after the first night). Queen bed, sofa bed, table and chair, hanging area and luggage shelf. The bathroom had a shower/ tub combo with a multi purpose shower head. Day 2, the 168 kids arrived and the noise escalated from a tranquil setting to a wild playground. Kids played in the hall, yelling screaming, opening and then slamming their and friends room doors, knocking on unknown doors and running (mine). Some kids were polite to apologise when they realised they had the incorrect room. Reception were requested to intervene at least 7 times (face to face and via the phone), however this only sometimes restored the peace for a short period. The student teachers/ supervisors were nowhere to be found to settle the children. Not an ideal situation to be in for a relaxing stay. Parking: is available at an additional cost of €21 (at the time of my stay). The car park is very tight to maneuver around. Wifi: Complementary and good speed password required, this did slow dramatically once the 168 kids arrived to the hotel and were using their devices. Conclusion: Excellent position. River views Comfortable rooms. Right in the center of town. Letdowns: Kids permitted to stay and guests not provided this information upon checkin. Adult guests could have been allocated other separate floors and the children on other exclusive floors. Location / Nearby: Centre of the city and all its offerings. Letdowns Rushing water noise can be a bit much for some. Hotel not advising guests of the imminent arrival of 168 children and the accompanying noise. Getting to hotel: Best use GPS. Be aware of the last roundabout prior to the hotel and the 5th exit that goes down just to the right of the main road/bridge. its very easy to miss. The hotel name and parking signs are only visible when your 5 meters from the property. If arriving into Barcelona airport and drive to Andorra, do yourself a favour and turn off “tolls” on the GPS, the drive has spectacular scenery, and is only marginally longer and you will save €30+ in tolls.

Visited in april, basically the off-season. This is a good hotel, if you know what to expect. This hotel is basically in the center of town, next to the river and extremely close to the shopping streets. Parking is available, for 21 euro/night, though the internal parking garage is relatively small and tight: had no problems, but our car was a little larger causing some careful backing and forwarding into the spaces between the pillars. The rooms are purely functional, perhaps even a little bare-bones: perfectly adequate, but they didn't really have much of an atmosphere. Again, not a problem, just more of something to think about if you're considering. The city is under heavy construction at the moment around the river-front, with some rebuilding of bridges, walkways and other things. This meant that although our room overlooked the river and the city immediately beyond, it was really more of a view on a lot of the construction. Not the fault of the hotel and once it all gets finished, I'm sure it will be perfectly lovely, but was a little jarring to see upon opening the balcony doors. The construction wasn't that loud, since they stopped around 7:30pm, and honestly, the cars on the street below were louder regardless. I would say that by 9pm or so, it was all relatively quiet, apart from normal nightly traffic, and with the balcony door closed it wasn't an issue. Breakfast, if taken, is buffet style with a wide range of things, though in an unusual large interior cafeteria with no windows. I don't know how to categorize it, but it was kind of like a 1990's Rotary Club or retirement home cafeteria, and I don't say that it was bad at all, just kind of "enclosed". Food was pretty good, so it's a win overall. I'd say to stay here due to the location if you're wanting to go around town. Park here if you have to. We used it as a base to drive around to other locations in Andorra, so the specifics of the hotel were not that important. The staff was very helpful and friendly, no problems there.

The location is excellent. Short walk into the main shopping area. The staff were helpful. Our room was spacious, large bed and a sofa, and very clean. Decent sized bathroom with a bath. So why only 3 stars? The room is a bit shabby and scuffed but the main problem was the temperature and stuffiness of the room. The fan did nothing to cool the room. If you open the balcony doors the river, traffic and construction work is noisy. I wouldn't be happy sleeping with the doors open as the balcony is shared with next door divided by a row of pot plants. Parking seemed expensive at 21 euro a day but this might be typical of the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Magic. I went with a friend, and due to the large room, we felt like we both had plenty of space. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, desk space, and a couch. There's even a balcony overlooking the river, which would've been really nice in better weather! I am an avid gym user, and they had what I needed as far as equipment, which was nice, though the gym lacked towels & spray or wipes to clean up. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and helped us to make a reservation at the Caldea Spa, as well as holding our baggage after check-out, until we were ready to depart. Overall a really great hotel, and at a very reasonable price!

Perfect choice for being downtown. They have parking space, nice breakfast and location is very good, really close to main shopping street and Caldea. The room was in very good cleaning condition and the bed was comfortable. The wood floor was missing one small plaque in front of the bathroom door.

Any hotel that advertises air conditioning but then doesn’t turn it on nor advertises that it switches it off has to have a 1 star review. My room was simple but tired. It looked out onto the side of a car park and other hotel rooms. The only window was actually a patio door that would only remain open (not ajar) and was accessible by walking over the roof via other publicly available doors, thus I had the option to sleep in a stuffy room or potentially have an intruder at night. Not good. Go elsewhere and ensure you either get aircon or a window.
