This guesthouse is a large historical building. It is centrally located and also has a very good lakeside restaurant. Reservations are recommended during the summer and fall. Our room was nicely furnished and included an area with chairs and a table as well as a small balcony. There is no elevator however our luggage was carried upstairs for us. The... More

Nearly every hotel in this small town has wonderful views of the lake and the location will be good (if near town center). This was a Rick Steves recommendation, and we loved it. The hotel has only 8 rooms, and is full of antiques and old artifacts, lots of squeaky floors, old pictures on the wall. If you like modern,... More

We ordered a grill fish, local delicacies. Apparently the fish is from the nearby river or lake. Fish is dipped into batter and grill to perfection. The potato is sprinkle with parsley... you may want to add a bit of table salt. Very tasty. Sausages with chips and nice too... it's served with 2 type of mustard... the finely grated... More

We have a wonderful time in Hallstatt and loved our acommodations at Bräugasthof Lobisser. The service was excellent. The view was unbeatable. The location was central. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant within the hotel and it was delicious. Breakfast was included we filled out bellies before heading off. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We ended our day with a delicious dinner at Braugasthof Lobisser, which was a wonderful traditional restaurant, situated inside a 15th century local brewery and situated right on the shore of the lake.My partner had one of the biggest schnitzels I had ever seen!

We managed to get a lake view room with balcony on "same day" for 2 nights after we were badly let down by one of the hotels in Hallstatt. The lady who showed us the room and subsequently checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The building is very old, and if you are looking for modern and contemporary... More

My family of four stayed here. We had a lakeview room with two balconies to enjoy. Decorated with antiques. The service was excellent. We received a warm welcome and dined at their restaurant on the lake under lanterns hung in trees. You did have to park at a public garage and take a shuttle in to town which dropped you... More

We had two lakeside rooms that shared a lake view balcony. Very beautiful location. The room was quaint but ok. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was the typical buffet fare with a fresh boiled egg option. We had a few meals outside on their waterfront restaurant and it was good. Internet was very poor in the room. It is... More

We had a room with a lake view that was stunning. The room was pine paneled, comfortable beds with soft comforters. The modern bathroom was across the hall, but it was private to our room. The staff was exceptionally nice and the breakfast was delightful, served in a wonderfully historic room. We could not have made a better choice and... More

We highly recommend this hotel. We traveled with our two teenage daughters and rented two rooms on the top floor. As other reviews have noted, it is a very old building with stairs, nooks and crannies to spare. The rooms were spotless, adorable, and had wonderful views of the lake. Hard not to roll my eyes at some of the... More
