We were already guests at the Hotel Enzian and had a very good time again in March 2024. With Elisabeth Veit, the 'next generation' took over the management and on this occasion also modified the concept of the house (including adults only). The Enzian was and is 'the address' in Obertauern. The location is brilliant and you can go straight from the ski cellar to the slopes in the morning. You also arrive directly at the hotel in the evening. The holiday begins upon arrival. Friendly staff will park the car in the garage and bring the luggage to the room. As in the past, we had a Gentian Suite. Great location, great view, very quiet and beautiful. This suite has two beautiful rooms, a shower room and a separate toilet. The suite is tastefully decorated and the day starts with a coffee (Nespresso system). You sleep very well in the beds, and different pillows are available upon request. Note: the rooms cannot be darkened 100%. It is possible to have breakfast or brunch until 1 p.m. Until 11 a.m. in the Zirbenstube, then in the bar area where there are plenty of nice seating options. Everything is qualitatively of a high standard, wishes are gladly and courteously fulfilled. If you want to take a break after 2 hours on the slopes, this is a great way to strengthen yourself. Due to the change in the concept, there is no longer half board. You can dine in three restaurants in the evening. Next to the Zirbenstube there is now a Mexican restaurant, and in the Japanese restaurant Boken Julien prepares delicious sushi and ramen soups. The price structure has of course changed due to the change in concept. While half board was previously included in the room price, dinner in the restaurants is now included. Since, as already mentioned, the next generation has taken over the management, it is a logical consequence that concepts are being reconsidered and revised. That is a good thing. The bar area has also been redesigned and every day there are delicious creations from Dario and Patrick, who are very professional in their craft. All of the hotel's employees are very friendly, professional and empathetic and are 'the flagship' of the hotel. As a guest you notice the 'team spirit', there couldn't be anything better. The wellness area is one of the most beautiful that the mountains in Europe have to offer. Great, large facilities spread over three floors that leave nothing to be desired and are always 'maintained' and 'maintained'. Pure relaxation is the order of the day here. It is possible to book massages or other treatments on site. Bathrobes and slippers can be found in bags in the rooms. Conclusion: the Enzian remains our first choice for relaxing moments in Obertauern and we are already looking forward to our next stay.

This hotel is exquisitely beautiful! The staff are always super friendly and helpful, the service is great - including valet parking and luggage in the room while we were already on the slopes. The spa is brand new and very nicely done, really relaxing on several floors. The fitness equipment is top quality, all duplicated, with a view of the snow and plenty of space for yoga. And the Zirbenstube is a first-class Austrian restaurant! The Japanese restaurant is also supposed to be great - at least all the sushi and ramen you could want. The bar area with fireplace and chic lounge atmosphere is inviting, a room with a panoramic view and a games table and if you want, you can work downstairs - a chic workation area. And then straight onto the slopes! Nothing is missing!

High-quality furnishings, a lovely ambience and, above all, a great team from reception to service! They anticipate your every wish! Everything is super clean and very well organized. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, you walk out of the main entrance and are on the slopes and can start skiing! 😊

We felt pampered from start to finish with extremely personal and friendly service. Arrive and enjoy from the very beginning. Underground parking service, super extensive breakfast, which you can even have twice until lunchtime and go skiing in between. Afterwards, wellness, delicious drinks at the bar next to a cozy fireplace. Lift tickets and ski school were organized for us on arrival, so we could get started right away without any stress. Large selection of restaurants from local to exclusive - no wish is left unfulfilled. We would love to come back.

“Our stay at Hotel Enzian was simply amazing! From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt like royalty. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to help us with a smile.
The hotel itself was beautifully designed and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were heavenly comfortable and we slept like babies every night.
The highlight was definitely the hotel's restaurant. The food was simply delicious! We were lucky enough to enjoy both breakfast and dinner there and every dish was a taste sensation. The selection was great and there was something to suit every taste.
The location of the hotel was also ideal. It was in a quiet area but still close to the slopes and the center. We could easily get there on foot.
In addition to all this, the hotel also offered great amenities such as a gym, pool and spa. We made extensive use of these facilities and felt really relaxed.
All in all, our stay at Hotel Enzian was just perfect. We can only highly recommend it and will definitely come back. Thank you to the whole team for a great holiday.

We had a great break at the Hotel Enzian in Obertauern. From here you can start perfectly into the ski area, which is famous for its abundance of snow. The hotel is right on the slopes and leaves nothing to be desired. We spent relaxing hours in the spa and were then totally spoiled with culinary delights. The breakfast selection the next morning couldn't have been better - we felt like we were in the land of milk and honey. The team - starting with the charming boss - was just courteous and helpful, never pushy. Simply top!

We spent 7 nights in the end of January 2023, and we had lots of fun. We had a beautiful Enzian Suite with 2 separate bedrooms with a beautiful wiew to the hills and the slopes. I enjoyed the Nespresso machine and the tea making possibilities a lot in the mornings. I used the gym 6 days out of the 7, and it was really professionally equipped. I also used the spa and the pool a couple of times, and the water temperature was pretty o.k. for a little apré ski swimming. The breakfasts and the dinners were really good with a very wide variety of foods in the mornings as well as in the evenings. The personel is super professional and kind: during the whole week whatever we did, wherever we went in the hotel we always felt a sense of hospitality in the best way. Generally we had a feeling that Enzian is a very well maneged hotel, we honestly recommend it to anyone. We will come back for sure.

This is really "home of good moods":) Excellent service. Excellent staff. Excellent food. The three restaurants are very good and offers great value. It is just a nice place to stay and you can ski directly from the hotel and end your skiing just outside the door.

Our “home in the snow”. We every time experience a smooth check in, excellent mountain view room with skiing from/to the hotel. The Enzian is family managed and the friendly and welcoming team always takes care of all our wishes. Awesome breakfast and several dinner options from Mexican to Japanese and traditional Austrian delicacies. The huge wellness area is one of a kind in Obertauern. For adults only, so are the drinks 👍 Cheers to powder skiing from November to May

Another fantastic week spent at the Enzian. This really is an amazing hotel, with excellent service from all staff. Food is delicious and plentiful with lots of choice at dinner and good options for kids. Beakfast is amazing with all you could need to set you up for a day on the slopes. There is a lovely pool and relaxing spa area to help recover from a days skiing which starts directly outside the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space. This was not our first visit to Enzian and it will not be our last.
