You can get to the city center quickly by bus (4.50€ day ticket...great) and bike, parking spaces a bit small, outdoor pool, kiosk, staff all OK. Big minus point: sanitary facilities. Both entrance doors for men and women are broken, so you could always see everyone washing. The women's washroom door was attached to the fire alarm with a clothesline so that it wouldn't close. Hot water was a matter of luck, water in the sink and shower drained slowly or not at all. Fittings and shower room equipment should definitely be replaced, for 50.00€ per day (2 people + camper) the sanitary facilities should be top notch. Tip: you have to invest at some point.

We became aware of the Nord-Sam campsite because of its location, as we were looking for something close to the city center.
Booking in advance turned out to be worthwhile - the campsite was very busy. It is probably a little different in the off-season.
The location and the campsite itself are very good.
The motorway and the train can only be heard at night, but not so loudly that it would have bothered us.
The plots are separated from each other by hedges, there are many trees that provide shade. The plots are ideal in terms of size for camper vans, tents or motor homes. For caravans with awnings, the plot is rather tight - especially since you also have to park your car next to the caravan. There are very few separate parking spaces within the campsite (by the pool), and none outside.
The wet rooms and the washing-up area are clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the number of showers and toilets is a little limited, but only when the site is full - we had to queue/wait.
The owner family was friendly and helpful.
The small shop with bread roll service offers the bare necessities. A butcher's shop within walking distance offers a vending machine and a self-service shop - both are open 24 hours a day.
In the evenings, various food trucks come to the campsite and there were wine tastings - so there are good options for food there too.
What we noticed and found a bit annoying were our fellow campers.
Somehow we had the feeling that hardly anyone was considering each other - car/bus doors were slammed all night long, music and conversations didn't get quieter even at bedtime and the pool was used loudly even outside of normal usage times.
We know it differently....... But maybe it's also because the typical campers don't "live" at a municipal campsite.
For us, the stay was still worth it - good location & price was right.

This site could be so good but it falls short. Of course you pay for where a site is but in six weeks of travelling this was the most expensive and, in terms of situation (love Salzburg though we did) it cannot compare with our cheaper lakeside pitch on Lake Garda, our cheaper waterside pitch in Venice, our cheaper site at Croatia’s Plitvice Lakes or our cheaper Lake Bled site. And ALL of those cheaper sites, unlike Nord Sam, provided reliable hot water, frequently cleaned and spotless shower and toilet facilities, none of which we ever had to queue for, hand soap in the toilets (really, not to have that is both mean and a health risk) and took credit card payment. None of them shared Nord Sam’s mean spirited instruction that their electricity was only for lighting and refrigerators. In your dreams - I paid enough to charge an e-car with it, though I didn’t, of course!
Twice I got a ticket to report to reception because I hadn’t displayed my yellow number visibly over night. Where? The blinds were closed on the motorhome and they had my registration, knew where I was pitched and if I hung it outside it could have been taken and used by someone else. Petty. How about numbering the pitches. And why lose sleep over this when rules about quiet until and after certain times were ignored?
It just all felt tired, this is how we’ve always done it, and had nothing like the attention to cleanliness and quality that ALL the other sites we have used did. We were greeted on arrival really warmly by the guy who looked after the lovely gardens but perhaps more time and attention should be paid to critical elements of a caravan and motorhome site. I accept that they will fill up easily year on year but so will all the others we visited and they were so much better. And cheaper by a margin.

Continuing our first motorhome experience, we headed from Innsbruck to Salzburg. We stayed at this very nice and very clean campsite. The pitches are all separated by hedges and have electricity but not water connection. For water there is an area where you can also empty the various tanks. Nice swimming pool but we have not used, given the weather still a bit 'cold. Well connected by bus to Salzburg, the stop is a few dozen meters walk away. Recommended.

Camping Nord-Sam is a very well-kept, pleasant place, a good size pitch with a hedge between you and your neighbour. Sanitary facilities are OK. A surprising number of nice people stay here with tents. We easily got to the city centre by bike. We would happily come back!

whatever dont waste your money on this, after three years travelling europe this is the most expensive ever at forty seven euros fifty cents a night, and what for, got a small swimming pool. never seen pitches that small, can hear guys snoring both sides and worse when they are awake.also all pitches are overhung by trees, they say they have a cafetieria but its not, serves breakfast of two rolls with jamm and butter, thats it but it is somewhere to sit if you want. showers you cant swing a cat in, and have to hold the button in all the time as it turns off straight away plus no mop for the floor and its slippery when wet, obvs lol, apparantly the electric is for fridge and lights only, they tell you no more, its on the rules, no tele or cooking or anything else from what we can make out all quiet after ten till seven, try telling the kids that and ppl who love slam their van doors. never never again.
good points, bus stop just down the road, short trip into town. pizza restaurant five mins away and very good. kids love the pool, staff very helpful and lots of literature in five different languages.

The staff were very welcoming on our arrival. Pitches are quite small and close together but separated by bushes. The pool was great and kids loved it. The location of this campsite is fantastic for sightseeing around Saltzburg and bus tickets can be purchased at reception.
This campsite in my opinion is over priced. The facilities are dated and a little run down, also not particularly clean. This was the most expensive campsite of our holiday and definitely was not worth the price. If you want the proximity to Saltzburg then this site is perfect, but if you want clean facilities, hot showers and value for money, look elsewhere!

Location of site is good. You can take a bike ride to Salzburg. Takes about 20 minutes. Theres is a small pool at the campsite you can use.
The campsites are quite small and close to neighbours. Many of them are separated with small green barriers which you can overlook.
You can barely manage to have caravan+tent+car at the site. If you do there is no place left for a table outside.
You can buy wi-fi access at the reception and buy bread for breakfast.
The sanitair (wc, shower) was a bit dissapointing.
Lack of toiletpaper in toilets.
Not so clean as one could have wished.
Several of the showers did not work properly. Very little water and cold. In most showers you had to leave cloths and towels outside.
I could only find two showers at our visit who worked properly.
It was ok but I would not recommend it.

Advertised as a 4 star campsite, in its day maybe, but not today. We stayed in a better 2 star near Dijon on a few days before.
One toilet block for the whole camp, the showers were look warm at best, the shower changing area was very small, your clothes might get wet from the water. Suggest a plastic bag. The showers and wash hand basins had hairs in them. Cleaning is done, by and outsider and not by camping staff / owners. So heart isn’t in it.
Overprice at the shop and pitch (bank charge catch).
Shop: and I know they have to make a profit but (same items) a packet of ham €4.20, Despar and Lidl €2.40. An ice cream €4, shops in town €2. Chocolate bar €2, local shop €1.
Pitch: Tent, two people and electric €49 per night. Total should have been €98. But informed they have bank charges to pay so and extra €15 has been added. Found that very steep and underhand, it’s there bank not mine.

Clean campsite, close to town. On the other hand, a little expensive, but unfortunately in Salzburg it is often more expensive than elsewhere in Austria. Wifi is chargeable.
The staff is welcoming, it is advisable to make a reservation because from a certain time it is often full.
At reception, there is a little troubleshooting and bread in the morning.
