Daniella at Reception was welcoming and very nice. She shows customer service at its best.
Staff were always polite and friendly saying hello, good morning.
Room / facilities:
As we entered the room, there was a chocolate ball placed on each pillow.
We spent there 4 nights with kids. The hotel is nice and comfortable, a good choice if you just want a nice and clean place to sleep. Room was small and old-fashioned, but was very clean. I liked the radio in the bathroom that allows...More
We stayed here over Christmas and had a wonderful time, staff were friendly and efficient and we loved the traditional dress. The rooms were spotless, it was peaceful at night and we even managed to have a makeshift tree!! The hotel is close to the...More
Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a very convenient location with respect to the train station, and not a very far walk from the Mirabell gardens and other sites of the city. The staff was helpful and friendly, and...More
Was easy to find from the bus station and very quick and easy to get back to the airport on only one bus. I would describe it as a lovely boutique hotel with real character and a lovely bar. The hotel is an easy walk...More

This was my second visit to this hotel and when I do go back again to Salzburg this would be my first choice. We went in 2007 and again June of this year. The hotel restaurant and breakfast area have changed between visits. The hotel rooms are good sized and clean and comfortable. They look the same as when I went in 2007 but everything is in good shape. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station (less than a 5 min walk). There are buses you can take but Salzburg is a very walkable city. We were there for 6 days and only used the bus in the city twice. We ate two night in the old town area and two night at the Augustine's beer hall (personal favorite) and two night in the hotel bier garden. There is a supermarket in the train station now which is new. You can't get anything you need. There is also a laundromat from the hotel, maybe a 10 min walk or you can take the bus. The rooms are air conditioned we were there and they were having a heatwave (temp above 90 f) which is very rare for them. Had a superior double room when we stayed both times. breakfast is not included like it was in 2007 but there is a lot to choose from so we found it was worth it. We used Salzburg as a base and took the train to Werfen to do the ice caves and to Hallstadt and took the bus over to Bertchesgarden, Germany where we did the salt mine tour and went upon the Eagles nest. Anyway hope that helps, Salzburg is my wife and I favorite town this was our fourth trip there and I am ready to go back. Let me know if you have any questions. I know Salzburg really well. Also look into getting the Salzburg card worth the money
