A family-run hotel, located close to the main railway station in Munich, Hohenstauffen lures you with warm service, compact & well-maintained rooms & superb amenities. The family members, who double up as staff members, are very warm & helpful. A good option for a stay in the city. Very close to the main attractions as well.

Very pleasant hotel. As already said querky... We had the double 4 poster bedroom and it was great. Bit warm but we turned the heat down. Bathrooms are immaculately clean. Breakfast was ok, usual cheese and meat, but no hot stuff and not even a toaster. The lady who runs this place goes above and beyond, a real grafter nice lady... Enjoyed our stay but as a personal opinion its too expensive for what it is.. I would defo reccomend it to anyone....

We stayed for two nights in late December. We chose the hotel because of the proximity of the train station. We found Salzburg very walkable, and were able to easily visit all of the local attractions within walking distance of the hotel. A very traditional European hotel, we enjoyed the breakfast spread (meats, cheeses, pickles, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, breads, and more). Linda and her family were welcoming and accommodating, keeping our cold items in their fridge during our stay, and allowing us to store our bags after check out. Very charming and comfortable room, enjoyed the old world touches. Would certainly recommend and return if our travels take us back to Salzburg.

Not quite sure what to expect when we walked into the lobby and thought we had stepped through a time portal. LOL This charming olde world inn is absolutely adorable. From the ledger book on the desk, to the room key cabinet behind it, it was a bit of a shock at first. But we loved it immediately. From the television room where you can sit and play board games while enjoying a glass of wine, to the generous breakfast buffet presided over by the 'lady of the house', we had a lovely stay. Don't book here if you need today's creature comforts. This isn't the place for you.

This quant family run hotel was excellent. The hotel was emaculate. The staff were helpful and a pleasure to get to know. The hotel is ideally located to the train station and only a short walk to the old town attractions. Free parking and breakfast included.

Exellent and charming hotel with very hospitable staff. it is situated in good location near mail bus and train station, but isolated from noise. This quiet place is great start point for exsploring Salzurg. Breakfast is very tasty and rooms are clean. I highly recomend this hotel.

My main issue with this stay was the lack of air conditioning in my room. Not a good sleep with three of us sharing a room. Pretty crammed as well, with little space to walk around luggage. The older fellow at the reception had a bit of an attitude on about three occasions when I asked various questions (technically, he answered with precision, but when I asked a second question to confirm, he got irritated more than once - remember, we are the customers and I had a six-hour drive that day). The location is not as close as I thought to the old town, but since we had a car, we parked in several of the parking locations in or around old town. We were told we could take a bus from the train station, but upon approaching it, we did not feel it was particularly safe, so we went back to get the car.

I would describe this hotel as quaint. Our room was small but neat and clean. There is no kettle for tea or coffee. And, like many smaller European hotels, there are no washcloths. The breakfast was typical classic European. Breads, cold meats, cheeses, some vegetables, cereals, yogurt, etc. No hot foods of any type. The staff were always pleasant, friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is a big selling point. It is very close to the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and bus routes. About a 4-5 minute walk. There are a number of restaurants nearby.

This is a delightfully run family business. The Hotel is so conveniently located within a 250 metre walk from the rail station. And also all the sights of Salzburg can be walked to as well. There is also bus transport from the airport. The hotel itself is well maintained with exceptionally neat and tidy rooms. The breakfast of 6 euros in the dining room is a must with a smorgasbord of breakfast delights. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for transport convenience, staff helpfulness and also neatness and cleanliness.
