The Hotel is well located, a short bus hop from the main train station, and walking distance from the river and the main areas on both sides. When we arrived, the staff were mortified that there had been a booking mix up. They couldn't fit the three of us in one room, and reduced the price considerably to reflect the... More

A single night in Austria, on a European road trip, found us staying here, due mainly to a good rate being offered in what proved to be quite an expensive city to stay. Situated set back in what for most of the time is a pedestrian street, so the sat nav tells you you've arrived at the nearest point on... More

This hotel was very basic. The rooms were spartan and had no air conditioning (like most European hotels). However, when we asked for a fan to cool us off (it was still hot in September) we were told they did not have any. In all fairness, when we complained the next day about the heat they found us a fan... More

I Stayed one night for a trip through Austria. The hotel is basic, with shared bathroom facilities, and no air conditioning or fans available in the rooms. There is free wifi however. The best aspect of the hotel is the location, it really is situated in the heart of Salzburg, where all attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.

We are traveling "nomad style" through Europe - just jump in the car and stop where-ever wee feel like... Salzburg was an intentional stop but we had no pre-arranged pllans. We chose this hotel because of the price. It was a great decission! The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to every attraction! If you want to visit the... More

You can't really improve on the location of this hotel as it's right in the old town. I booked at the last minute and got a single room for only €50 I don't know about the other rooms but mine felt a little like a university dorm with a noisy fridge and a sink in there. The reason for the... More

It looks so pretty from the few photos .. sadly it is all resuming to the lobby. Then anything else is a poor job of PVC doors and cheap floors. Our room looked like a cupboard where somebody dumped different pieces of old displaced furniture; we had 2 massive old wardrobes and two ikea type shelf/bok cases too, a mini... More

I found a deal on universityrooms.com for this hotel in Salzburg which offered a less expensive option on a busy weekend with the salzburg festival. Two days in a double room on the second floor. The bathrooms were reasonable shared and the rooms themselves had chracter but a few maintenance points to improve. The noise from the local clubs is... More

Wonderful location, basic rooms but perfectly clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a convenient and affordable place to lay your head in Salzburg, this will do the job. Located on a super charming pedestrian street, with ice cream and cafes just outside.

This hotel literally offers the city of Salzburg at its doorstep. It is steps to the old town and has a wonderfully helpful staff. The rooms are basic but comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
