We really enjoyed staying at the Stadtkrug. As mentioned part of the structure is close to 700 years old. It is full of charm, but also has updated amenities. The room we had was very comfortable and was on a quiet courtyard, although we did catch a bit of machinery and other noises (nothing to do with the hotel). We... More

The Hotel could not have been better. The suite that we were upgraded to was truely beautiful. The bathroom was well equipped with both bath and shower. Breakfast was varied, with choices to suit everybody, a traditional Austrian buffet ( a wonderful selection of breads), but bacon and eggs available if requested. In the evening the restaurant food was delicious,... More

A pleasant hotel, situated in the centre of Salzburg. Great place to stay if visiting the city. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The lobby and dining room have an unusual, quirky feel. All the tourists sites can be easily accessed by foot.

Wonderful, friendly staff and a brilliant location make this quirky hotel a pleasure to stay in. Located just over the main bridge from the Old Town in a pedestrianised street make it quiet, but still within easy walking distance to almost all main Salzburg attractions. Our room on the second floor was spacious and comfortable, with a desk, comfortable seating... More

From the time we arrived until we departed, the hotel staff and management were available and met our important needs. The restaurants on site will quite good, especially the breakfast buffet every morning. The owner, Hugo, was most accommodating as he spent time taking us to our room and showing us all the amenities. Great service by him and his... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, in the antique center of the city of Salzburg. Access to the hotel by car through the narrow street have closed with a checkpoint. You can open the barrier by code, will get from a reception of a hotel. The history hotel, with antique-style rooms, well equipped. The staff is kind and courteous.... More

Good location once you work out that you need to get through pedestrianized area to unload. Friendly welcome. Quirky 'old town' features. Room excellent - lovely comfortable bed, super bathroom, plenty of space. Chris on reception was absolutely helpful and kind.

This hotel in a characteristic pedestrian is close to everything including the bridge into the old town. Yes, this hotel is in the so called 'new' town! Some parts of the building are thought to date back 800 years. The staff were wonderful and my room and en-suite were very good. There was a good selection of food for breakfast... More

The service at this property was fantastic--never felt so well-cared for at a hotel. They were quick to meet any need and answer any question. The hotel is very old, yet updated very well. Not the biggest fan of the shower, but that was the only imperfection. Had a late supper with the best Austrian wine in the rooftop garden--must... More

Location was very good. Many shops and cafes nearby. Walk across the bridge and you are at Old Town area. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast that was included in our stay was wonderful. Could even have eggs made. You can take the elevator to the top and there is a terrace restaurant where you can eat dinner.... More
