The infamous Sacher Hotel was a haven of luxury. Prompt check-in, then to room with requested river view and balcony, which was a real bonus. Even though it was December, we enjoyed sitting watching the world go by on the river, and across the bridge nearby. Room was bright and well appointed. Bathroom was marble lined and modern with beautiful...

Excellent location for the Christmas markets and castle. We had excellent rooms looking out over the river which was very picturesque. The hotel was traditional and had nice little treats in the rooms which our children enjoyed. The restaurant in the hotel was nice but very expensive compared to restaurants in the local area. Our tour operator had breakfast included...

I had been to salzburg as a child many times, and did stay at this old establishment first as a 10 year old, later as an adult. The hotel is in a lovely location, and has old world charm for sure. The concierge girls were very friendly. The rooms: we had a nice suite facing the river, it was old...

They upgraded us for free to a room overlooking the river and city...beautiful! A couple small servings of Sacher torte waiting in our room was also a nice touch. On the way to our hotel our taxi driver told us we were staying at the nicest hotel in the city, we had no complaints.

We had a wonderful one-night stay during the holidays. This grand hotel is just across the city on the banks of the river. It is also the home of the sacher torte pastry, and we had our fill of it and others during our afternoon stay. We had left some items in the room and Simon arranged for us to...

The hotel is very nice. Historical. Nice location. Stay in the renovated rooms, they are really nice!! But if the breakfast is not included in your rate not even try to go there!! It's such a waste of 35€! Their breakfast can't even compare to a 3 star hotel. Looks like a breakfast for those hotels were they madly being...

We loved our short stay at Hotel Sacher. We had a luxurious room with a nice view of the castle. At our arrival we were immediately felt welcome, the staff was extremely attentive, making sure we were comfortable and that we never needed anything. We were walked to our room (always a nice attention) where the lady showed us all...

Upon our arrival our room was not ready, granted we were early (check in time was 2:00pm). We came back at 2:00 and the room was available only after 2:30. To make up for the inconvenience they offered us a coffee or tea. The room was beautiful with a partial view of the historic city center albeit it was small....

We chose this hotel based on the star rating and the photos on the website. We were very disappointed in the unfriendly service and the lack of ambience. We were looking forward to sitting by the open fire in the bar. Unfortunately the open fire is in the smokers room. As we are non smokers, we cannot tolerate cigarette smoke,...
