We visited the Hotel Stangle in October 2016 for 6 days as part of a coach holiday with Shearings from England. This is a traditional built and family run hotel dating back over a hundred years, with plenty of wood and ornate finishes and large balconies overlooking the mountains each side of the valley . It is located in the...

Stayed at this Hotel on all inclusive basis on a coach holiday. It was clear from the onset that the hotel staff were ill-prepared and ill-equipped to accommodate such a high number of guests. Hotel not clean, bedrooms and bathrooms equally unkempt. There was a noticeable lack of staff, both domestic and waiting on. Food was basic but adequate. It...

Stayed in this "hotel" recently on a Shearings coach holiday and never again. The staff acted as if we were an imposition and at one point actually told us we could not eat inside because they had proper guests...i.e a wedding party that were nowhere near where we would normally eat. Food was lovely if you liked stale bread roils,...

Arrived at 18.45 after a long day travelling to be greeted by the "Bulgarian Manuel" who literally through keys at people in our group. While some guests were still waiting for keys others were returning to reception to complain that their rooms were not ready, in fact no rooms were ready, so went to the bar while World War 3...

Large rooms, fine wellness area in the cellar, very friendly staff. We arrived at 7 in the morning and got our rooms at once and they prepared breakfast for us after our long journey. It was very pleasent. The "abendessen" was not very good, but the breakfast was ok!

The hotel was taken over by Josef Hoeperger on the 1st Jan 2014 and he is gradually modernising the hotel. He had previously run the hotel with his two sisters under the supervision of his parents and little modernisation had been done in the previous 35 years. The hotel is next to the church and the clock chimes every 15...

We stayed at the hotel for a week in March 2012, with Shearings. The "warm welcome" was a bit tepid due to us arriving a little late. Hotel: Very clean, spacious, and the decoration was lovely. Typical Austrian. Bedroom: The bedroom had ample of space, Double bed, built in wardrobes, side tables, Tv area had two comfy chairs , table...
