We were very happy with our choice- location was great to enjoy the beach and get into the city - Lyft was very affordable and easy. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Room was comfortable, clean and pool side was a nice plus. Overall it was a great fit for us.

My husband and I stayed at Villa 3 in July23, after not going on holiday for a long time. We couldn't have chosen a better place to go, the staff was welcoming and helpful, we must mention the owners and the guy that works around the pool, nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool and gardens are beautiful. The room is the perfect size and has all that you need, a comfy bed and a powerful shower. Breakfast was very good with freshly baked croissants, local cold meat and cheeses and freshly squeezed orange juice. This place is ideal if you want to relax and explore Lisbon non-touristy spots. We will go back for sure.

Gays only!

If you like to do relaxing without much people on the beach is a very calm place to do.

You have a warm pool with salt- Water, whirlpool, sauna (also in sommer) and if you wish a awesome relax massage. Ask for it at the reception.

Bartender bring you the drinks to your place if you wish, but you can go to the bar.

Very nice owner will help with all questions around. Gay Live in Lisbon/ Portugal.

Worth a visit

Sauna is 2m x 2m. Steam room bigger. Both owners were punishing me for not paying 185 euros plus tax for a room. I explained to them that was outside of my budget. Told me I could not use the gym which consisted of two cardio machines and a broken set of adjustable dumbbells. One guy who did pay that much for a room was talking to an owner who didn't even look up from his phone. They should not be in customer service. "You can't bring in water - you must buy it here". Not in every other sauna I've been to in Europe. They are not truthful and they accuse customers of lying. Two night minimum at the hotel because when people find out the most substantial food served is a ham and cheese sandwich, they want to leave. They will drop the two night minimum if asked. Located next to the highway with no bars, restaurants or grocery stores nearby - even with a car. Their cheapest room is 116 euros plus tax with no TV. I recommend getting a room downtown Lisbon and just paying 20 euros for a day pass - after eating lunch. The place is really boring after the day visitors leave.

Response from António Marcos, Owner at Villa 3 Caparica
Responded 27 Jul 2023
We are very happy to have this review here so other guests can see the kind of people we do not want here. Somebody from Wilton manors who complains that the cheapest room in the nicest Gay *** hotel in Portugal and has no respect for other guests or the house rules … A little Google search … failed candidate for Wilton manors mayor, in court for a fight with a drag queen. O my god we were lucky you left without starting a fight here. We treat our guests with upmost respect but people behaving like you are very toxic for our business and for the reputation of your country. You wrote me in your mail your budget was 100 euros. ROFL for a Wilton Manors resident ! You got upset that your budget did not allowed you to stay with us, came for a daypass and complained about everything, walked around with a bottle and did not even put it away after we asked you too. Maybe in trying to keep the place safe and pleasant for our guests we cannot tolerate behaviour like yours. Only when we said we were going to call the police you backed off and left. And you are very right, we are very unhappy owners when we have to deal with somebody that behaves like you.

Wow! These guys have put a lot of thought and effort into their resort and the business model they operate under. While we were there while they were just coming out from under the Covid 19 restrictions, we nevertheless had a memorable and pleasant experience.

Eddy and Marcos made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the very beginning. Fernando kept everyone happy with any requests he received at the breakfast and drink bar. And their dog, Benji Manuel, greeted each customer silently and walked them to the reception area.

The place is immaculate, the rooms are clean and modern, the pool and jacuzzi were super clean and sparkling and the foliage, plants and trees have been carefully selected to make this place looks like a tropical paradise. This place is a must-stay if you are every in Portugal. Our only regret is that, due to Covid restrictions, the spa and sauna were still unavailable. But we plan to go back soon. For sure!

This place is perfect on every level. It's like a family. I came for 4 nights and left after 9! It's an oasis. A private space where gay men can relax and mingle. I met so many wonderful people during these days, and the Villa attracts the easy laid back kind. The three beautiful bears that run the place felt like family by the end of the trip.
The rooms are nice. It's a cruisy atmosphere without it feeling hardcore. You are a short cab ride from the gay beach. There is not much around the Villa at all... but I was happy staying put. I look forward to going back.

Absolutely best place in summer, with close access to both ocean beaches and Lisbon.
Modern place with all facilities of top quality both rooms, garden, pool and relax facilities if you know what I mean. Extremely clean place.
Super friendly owners create good atmosphere for your stay.
Believe you cant get a better place if you are bear, wolf or any other animal.
Thank you!

A fantastic gay resort, with extremely attentive staff. For this reason alone, they deserve a 5 star review. They allow day visitors which means the talent comes to you! They have a large hot tub, heated salt water pool, and dark rooms, sauna, and steam room. Oh, and a gym. It can get busy at weekends, to the point all sun beds are taken, however the great thing is that day visitors are let in only after 13:00 until around 20:00. You are allowed your own guest in free of charge, in that event of finding your true love on Grindr…

The rooms are clean, and all have aircon, a free large safe (my laptop fitted in), and a telephone. All the rooms are a slightly different layout, and rooms the pool the rooms have TV’s, whereas the garden rooms don’t have them. The rooms are very basic, although clean and very well maintained. I feel it would have been beneficial to have a fridge in the room for your food and drinks.

The bar is very well stocked and open until midnight. They serve a lovely little continental breakfast and fresh coffee and OJ, with hot scrambled eggs on a weekend too. During the day, they have a basic offering of ham, cheese, or tuna toastie. It would have been great to have an equally easy, but more substantial meal to allow us to stay in a few of the nights. Something like like a pizza or burger with fries maybe?

The venue was safe, in terms of both physical security (totally private and secure), and with ensuring ALL guests were either vaccinated or recently Covid negative. The staff wore masks indoors, as did most guests - although if you forgot it to nip in for a drink, this wasn’t an issue, staff were pleasant.

This had a wonderful mix of people. At a crude guess, 50% bear (owners and the general aim is for bears), 20% older gentlemen, 20% ‘ordinary’ guests and 5% younger. It was clothing optional, and as a younger (chubby, but not bear) couple, we felt totally comfortable. We didn’t feel like we needed to ‘conform’.

Locally within 10 minutes walking distance, you have a great burger place (it’s a cafe that does lots of modern, healthy, and wholesome food), and an amazing pizza place. Both speak great English, and have amazing food. Use Bolt or Uber to be lazy, and Uber Eats is welcome to be ordered to the resort too. The area isn’t touristic however, and there’s nothing to see or or. Saying that, we had a hire car and Lisbon is only 25 minutes away over the bridge. Parking, by the way, is free and ample outside on the street perfectly safe. Parking inside the secure compound is €10 a day… but even the owner said the street was absolutely fine, safe, and has the whole quiet street to park on. Oh, and beach 19 (the gay beach) is a short drive or taxi away. There’s a lovely stretch of popular beach and the cruising area right behind it. Take wet wipes…!

I think that’s about it. I’d highly recommend this haven, and can easily be likened to the Gran Canaria gay resorts that we know and love. Thanks for an amazing stay, and for being so welcoming.
