Our first impressions of the hotel were very positive, and the longer we stayed the more impressed we were by the hotel and its friendly and helpful staff.
Firstly, the hotel is so well located in Innsbruck - by the river and the characterful old town. The facilities at the hotel are very good too. The lounge area, around the lobby and through to the restaurant, are warm, attractive and welcoming, with comfortable furnishings, and with added charm and character from the skiiing themed decor.
The breakfasts were excellent. Omelettes are available to order, and there is a nice choice of hot and cold options, all attractively displayed. We had dinner at the hotel also. The dining area was lovely, and the evening menu was reasonable value and a good choice.
We really enjoyed the hotel's two spas. The basement spa has a good size pool. The panaroma spa was excellent, with great quality facilities along with hot and cold drinks available.
Our room had two comfortable armchairs and foot stool, a desk and chair, plus ample storage and hanging space. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable on the king size bed. The window looked onto an internal courtyard and the room was private due to a garden screen outside. The room was nicely lit. The bathroom was compact and the lighting was a little gloomy in there.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and were very impressed.

I had a very satisfying stay here overall and highly recommended the place. The hotel is a bit of trek from the Train Station, pushing luggage over uneven surfaces, but the 15 minute walk is certainly doable if you take it slowly.

The hotel hallways are dimly lit with "mood lighting," but still appear clean and well maintained. I opted for their large Deluxe Double Tyrol room, which is spacious and comfortable by European standards and includes a King Bed and a small sofa seating area. The room was very nice overall. The bed was comfortable and had good pillows. The toilet is located in a separate and distinct room from the sink and tub/shower facility. Bath fixtures are modern and well appointed. The hotel's AC system worked well for us.

We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast offering and found the quality and selection to be satisfactory. The hotel's dining room setting for Breakfast is pleasant and comfortable. We also ordered a room service Dinner one evening and were well satisfied with the food quality as well.

The hotel enjoys a suburb central location with good walking and touring options at its doorstep.

If I were to nitpick, the following were the only shortcomings noted: The hotel has seemingly done away with offering a mini fridge in guestrooms. (An empty cabinet) They also provide guests with one of those worthless mini tabletop ironing boards, versus a full size board. The bathtub is equipped with the partial glass shower door that seems to be prevalent in many European hotels. It's a silly thing, as its limited size doesn't effectively contain shower stray from the floor. (It's completely illogical, plain and simple). Lastly, the hotel's selection of English language networks on its television system is poor and could be enhanced for its International English speaking guests.

Two bits of advice: 1) Request a room location that does NOT face to the busy street in front of the hotel. We had an upper floor room location with exposure to a pleasant inner courtyard shopping area. Windows are of a good quality and the room was quiet. 2) I monitored room rates for a extended time before booking. I noted that this hotel will routinely offer its larger, upgraded rooms at a competitive price point, sometimes below the rate for its standard room. When you see a deal, jump on it. Choose an upgraded, larger room for an enhanced stay..... if it's within your financial capability.

All in all, however, a definite thumbs up to the Hotel Innsbruck!

From the moment of my arrival to the time of my departure the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive.

Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of cooked and other food capped off by Prosecco--you will find it in a niche between the cooked breakfast and the yogurt.

The location is excellent, easily accessible of foot [even for a pensioner with 22kg of luggage] or public transport from the train station.

The hotel is within a short walking distance of all the main sights and sited including the Nordketten cable cars.

On top of all this it is also exceptionally good value.

Looking forward to my next visit already!!

Our Deluxe Double Room was attractive, recently redecorated, but tight. If someone was sitting at the desk, the other person could not pass by behind.
It was rather depressing getting to our room, because of the long, dark, narrow hallway.
We had issues regulating the temperature in our room, therefore we needed to keep our window open. In January.
This was a problem because the window opened out upon the Old Town, and there was noisy loading/unloading going on beneath our window early each morning.
The plus: we were close to the Old Town, lots of good restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Minus: no fitness center where you can stretch and exercise.
The meals at the hotel were very average.
Parking was limited, with an auto elevator to get to the various floors of the garage. The spaces were tight!
If we returned to Innsbruck, we would try a nicer hotel next time.

This hotel is in an ideal location close to the river and bridge and historic old town.

We stayed in room 101 which was a junior suite with a bathtub. Loved the tub, bathroom and amenities, with plenty of room for suitcases and clothes. A wonderful touch was the tap with drinking water from the mountains, with some very nice glassware to use. The bed was really comfortable too.

Both the swimming pool and spa on the top floor were superb, very clean and relaxing spaces which we used every day.

A great breakfast is available, with a hot and continental buffet and you can also order fresh items from the menu.

One issue we felt was our room was too close to the lifts, which resulted in a lot of noise for a premium room. Also being on the 1st floor, the view was not as good as we had hoped. There was also no mini-bar or fridge, and the tea was not replenished although you can ask for this at reception.

However we had a really enjoyable stay, with very friendly staff, especially Veronika. You also get a Welcome Card if staying more than 2 nights, which is handy for public transport and gives a good discount on the Nordkette cable car (a must do when visiting Innsbruck!)

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this perfect little hotel. The location is ideal, right in the centre of the city with the golden roof 5 minute walk away. Central rail station was about 10 minutes walk or the bus/ tram stop 2 minutes away. The hotel is warm and inviting from the moment you enter the staff were welcoming ,friendly and very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of hot or cold options. Our room was overlooking the inner square and was so quiet and peaceful the room was spotlessly clean with a cosy comfortable bed, bathrobes, hairdryer and all the amenities you could need. The wellness area and the pool area are beautiful and so relaxing. We enjoyed our visit to Innsbruck so much we are already planning to return for a little longer and we've already booked this hotel. Well done to the team at Hotel Innsbruck .

Just spent 5 days in a Classic river and mountain view room. Fabulous facilities and a spacious room with wonderful views. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of cooked options (to order) along with breads, fruits, cheeses, ham, cereals and much more. Beautifully decorated and furnished public areas with friendly bar and reception staff. Just a two minute walk to Golden Roof and other places in the old town. Close to public transport for easy access to all the tourist spots. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel Innsbruck is right on the river in the middle of the city, steps away from the Old Town and much of what you will want to see while visiting. Pretty standard and plentiful breakfast buffet, nice lobby and bar area. There are some nice traditional Austrian style spaces in the dining room too. The spa areas have nice amenities but feel a bit dated. Many rooms are newly renovated, but it seems the lower category rooms look nothing like the renovated rooms, so be sure you know what you are getting so not to be disappointed. Some areas of the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke while we were there, and some perfumed air freshener. Overall a nice option.

Hotel at the edge on the city near the river. Very welcoming reception staff. Really beautiful hotel with faboulous rooms, all very unusual and boutique style. Lovely swimming pool. Breakfast in the morning had lots of choice and lots of staff to serve tea/coffee. Good value for money. Would definately stay again.

I spent two nights at the Hotel Innsbruck, and had a really positive experience overall.

The experience wasn’t perfect - the first room smelled like mildew and the air conditioning didn’t work. (They turn off the AC system in the Autumn, and the weather was unusually warm during my stay.) Opening the windows was the only option, but this resulted in a room too noisy to sleep in. They solved this by cheerfully moving me to an interior room which was much nicer and quieter.

There is a beautiful golden-tiled pool and sauna in the basement, and a really high quality spa on the 6th floor with an ice fountain and many choices of treatments.

The breakfast buffet was pretty great, and good quality.

Overall, a very fine hotel with an excellent spa, and a very good breakfast. Excellent value. I would highly recommend Das Innsbruck.
