First of all the location is excellent if you intend to explore city centre. There is an underground station nearby and also several decent cafés and restaurants as well. We got a 4+1 bed two room with bathroom (no kitchen) on the ground floor which I cannot recommend for a longer stay, especially if you intend to spend more time... More

Room was clean, shower didn't work terribly well, constantly shifting from hot to cold and back again. If you're looking for a place to dump your bags so you can wander the city this is a good spot. If you're looking for any kind of luxury steer clear.

Very comfortable simple cheaper place.no breakfast.ok free net.the charges included the house keeping.which is separately taken in most places even hostels. But administration was v friendly It's v close to metro taxi stand which Is in front of hotel Regina. Also metro is v close by.most historic places are on walking distance.inner city tour was v accessible

We booked this pension for one night, however, we had to cancel it a couple of days before (and glad we did it as we found a much better option). We are travelling with three children and would arrive at the hotel at around 23:30. As the check in is up until 23:00 we sent 5 messages to confirm someone... More

This lovely little pension is located nearly 200m away from the Schottentor Station. It is a very clean and secure establishment. We got the ground-floor suite. The only thing was that the double beds were kind of strange as one kept on rolling towards the center. Even though the rooms were on the main road there was very little noise... More

We stayed in a triple room at Pension Schottentor. The rooms we got were not in the same building as the lobby, and it was a very musty old room. The bathroom sink had a pretty bad leak and when we asked them to fix they did not. We were promised wifi but it did not work. Overall terrible experience.... More

Location is a 10 minutes walk to most attraction's and 5 minutes walk to the underground metro. The single room was OK for my 5 night stay apart from my dripping shower head which I sorted myself. Overlooked the road at the front and i heard no traffic noise so ok. I had a good nights sleep on a comfy... More

This is a small pension run by a Chinese family who keep it very neat and clean. The room was large with a good size en-suite. The hardest part is finding it as there is no large sign outside, just a plate at the side of a door that goes into a courtyard, with the entrance off it. They could... More

Our room was lovely and spacious. The shower was temperamental. But I could hear people snoring so clearly, I thought it was one of my travel buddies. The staff was very helpful in getting us directions to a laundry. Hint: do laundry before or after Vienna . Two loads of laundry was 45 euros. Also, we were not arriving until... More

We stayed during a brief summer visit to Vienna. This is a very spartan accommodation -- in a city of such great culture it seemed weird that there wasn't a single piece of art on the walls. Usually we take hotel art for granted, but if it is missing and all you have is a barren white wall, then you... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
