Excellent location, just next to subway station. You will find supermarkets, restaurants and shopping area nearby. it is also within walking distant (15 minutes) to historical attractions of the city center. Clean and spacious room with complaisant host. However, you need to close the window...More
We loved staying here! Maria was pleasant to work with during our stay. We did not rely on her for travel recommendations as much as we planned because we got up early and stayed up late so our paths rarely crossed. In our last night...More
I stayed 6 nights. I would for sure stay at K&T again when visiting Vienna for business or tourism. Location is fantastic. Conveniences within less than a 3 or 4 minute walk: Viennese café, restaurants, ice cream (well, it’s Vegan), full sized grocery stores, bakeries...More
We enjoyed a very pleasant 5 night stay here. I greatly appreciated the flexibility shown to us with check-in. The room was simple, clean and other guests were quiet. Our only complaint was that the room was warm and when we left the window open...More
We were greeted by Tina once we arrived. Very friendly person. No hurry in taking your money. She would explain to you on a map where are the attractions nearby and recommended, as well as advice you on where to get cheap eats. Location wise...More
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.

You will need to take the U1 metro line at the Sudtiroler Platz station. We bought a 2 day pass on metro tickets, I believe. There are signs in the train station to follow to get you there, or ask an agent. Get out at the Stephansplatz station and then take the U3 towards Ottakring. Exit the metro at Neubaugasse. You should now be on Mariahilfer. This is where it got tricky. The boardinghouse is the street behind Mariahilfer at Chwallagasse 2. The metro exits were confusing because they exited in two different places on the same street! We had a tough time with this, so have gps, or contact the hotel and ask specifically which exit is closest. Once you find it the first time it is much easier the second, but we did goof up again once! The boardinghouse is at the back end of building. Once there, walking to the old city is pretty easy, or you can continue to metro in. We did both. It is a great location and hotel!
