Our first visit to Vienna was exceptional, in a large part due to the Imperial Hotel, its impressive rooms and absolutely lovely staff! As soon as we entered our room, we knew we felt like royalty! Everything from the heavily gilded oil paintings, the massive chandeliers, the fresh fruit and sweets refreshed in our room on a daily basis made...

We nipped in here for an aperitif before the Kursalon evening. Lovely piano bar with cocktails to match. Excellent service and a nice ambience. The Ladies was weird - the towels were attached to a mechanism so that they were impossible to steal - its the first time I have ever seen such a contraption. They must have had problems...

saw this hotel beautiful hotel lit up at night and looked in to the window of the stunning café and thought I must go for a drink here at least. So just before our flight we popped in for aperol spritz in the stinningly lit bar which had a pianist just to make it perfect. The head bar man was...

The Imperial is a beautiful hotel with the most comfortable beds imaginable. The hotel is stunning inside and out, rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous, especially the young man who helped us many times. I cannot fault this hotel. We visited for my partner's 50th birthday and without request we were left a...

Excellent hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Magnificent interior and the decor in the rooms is fabulous. Only item preventing five stars was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but otherwise one to return to.

it's one of the best hotel in my traveling. it was a palace ~ calssical and elegant. I stayed two nights in Hotel Imperial. I like the Palace Design - oil paining, crystal lamp, even waiter's dress. The locaiton of the hotel is very good, only two mins by walk to the Vienna Golden Hall, around 10 mins to Kern...

The Hotel Imperial is located in the inner square of Vienna and is one of the oldest hotels in the area. It has an amazing history and has seen it's share of historical figures stay within it's walls. It is a high end hotel with beautiful rooms, gorgeous sitting areas and excellent service. Ideally situated. Lovely comfortable hotel. Superbly clean. All staff extremely helpful, professional and polite. Beautiful suite with balcony on front of hotel, nice comfy bed. Could have more choice on daily menu, however, Buffett breakfast was very good and had lots to choice from! Food always fresh. The opus restaurant which has a mitchellin star was disappointingly closed for holidays,...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
